So thats a rap from waverly park. Great nights racing hard and fast as usual. Qualifying went ok with a few of the cars still on the money.  Turned out it was Ron the train guys birthday during the week and he supplied supper, was very delish.  Waverly matt giving his best impression of an office worker doing the race sheets. To the racing, not what you would call a successful night at the start line with a few reds getting in the way, as usual lane choice has a lot to do with the outcome of some races. ofr went to the model A in tin top again. 4th went to catch me in funny car and the ghost in pro mod. 3rd went to jungle jim in nostalgia, and willies in vintage gas. 2nd went to f100 in truck.  Camp mother doing the same.  As you can see the red light shot bucket is alive and well parked beside me, soon to be empty. Ron's giving me the evil eye for some reason.  Chicken dinner for the mac's tools top fueler beating pony boy in the final race of the night. Next week we are back at sandfly for the last race meet of the year, so see you there. |

Well, it's the last points race of the year, most classes have a winner except for 3 gear, no cars have been prepped so let's see what happens. Will do a vid, so till tomorrow.

Well what a night, every man and his dog was there, just joking no dogs, so we had 8 drivers vying for space at qualifying, there was a lot of pushing and other antics to get to the front of the que. The only downside of this was that i was so busy doing track promotor things i forgot to take any pic's. Qualifying went ok, tho i thought the sandfly cars were a bit of the pace from last week, then i read the qf sheet. All racers were presented with a lovely Ranfurly Draught straight of the bat, and they all enjoyed them. To the racing, as usual, ofr went to the model A in tin top and the Willies t/jet. 4th went to Willies in vintage gas. 3rd went to the ghost in pro mod. 2nd went to where did he go, nothing, nobody, off to find a chicken to chew on.  But talking of chicken dinners, Jungle Jim in nostalgia F100 in truck Catch Me in funny car. Not to bad, tho the Mac's Tools car and the Scribble had a few issues with red lights. Now dont worry there will be a vid of the finals for you to enjoy, till then. |
