I don't have any of the AW 4 Gear Chassis. Can I run an AF/X chassis and add traction magnets?

Also with my race I ask that the magnets added to a AFX chassis be the same size as available on AW chassis. Most racemasters will also allow traction magnet to be lowered.

Depending on the class sometimes the slower cars can get by with one traction magnet. As performance increases a second magnet is helpful.

I once tried putting 2 small magnets up front to help hold the front end down. Did not seem to make any difference. Maybe bigger magnets would?

I was going through a couple storage tubs that had been forgotten about and found a Matco Drag strip I had bought and stored along with an AW car. Guess I do have a newer 4 gear chassis or two to work with!

Should work fine for the 4G class. You will need to change the armature to a 6 ohm as they come stock with a 14 ohm.

FYI....I know this isn't race thread, but Texas Nats only two traction magnets are allowed and they need to be the same or close to stock sized magnets. No giant magnets please. They can be raised or lowered however.
