Good luck with the painting. I am not good in the painting dept. I do put a lot of time in the performance department most of the time.

I can build well enough to hold my own, I hope!! Been airbrushing in one way, shape, or form since I was 13. Done my fair share of custom painting. on everything from HOs to semis. Made my living in the from 1990-1997 airbrushing t-shirts. Since then I have worked in the body shop, with the last 10 years being manager/foreman of the shop for the local public transit property.Painting is something I can do in my sleep.

WOW is the word that has been coming to my mind recently here on the forum. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed cars for sure. I am in my approximate 3rd year of airbrushing........still in my infancy with it since I don't do a high volume of custom work. Totally self taught so I'm sure I'm doing everything wrong. Always enjoy seeing others art. I am interested in hearing more about "cutting stencils". Can you explain that for me a little more. Do you have a machine that does that.....what material is used for the stencil itself...etc?? Thanks for sharing cozee.

I for the most part am totally self-taught. I have also had the opportunity to meet and work with some top notch airbrush artists. A couple time in the '80's and early '90s I even received some pointers, and instruction from Big Daddy Ed Roth. I painted my profile pic. I work with vinyl graphics at work so yes I have a plotter/cutter here at home. I only cut, I do not print on vinyl, at least not yet any way!!! LOL!! Always looking for that "bargin" vinyl printer!! Being about a 1/3 of the way into a somewhat full home remodel, The Dungeon, aka Man Land as my wife an family call it, is a complete mess so it's going to be early winter before I can dig things out here at home and run some stencils. The material is a vinyl mask made for creating stencils. Easy to apply and remove yet will stand up to airbrushes and full size paint guns. One can get a Cricut set-up relatively cheap and create stencils that way. I might have a couple old airbrushing how tos somewhere, if I do, I will post them up. They won't be on HO bodies but the techniques are still the same. If you ever have any airbrushing questions, message me, or if you'd like, we can exchange #s and we can text or talk. That goes for anyone!!!

Collage. The two, long, vertical pics on opposite sides of the 8 ball skull towards the bottom are lexan R/C pulling truck bodies.
