2018 NTRA Texas Nationals
RACE FORMAT AND SCHEDULE
Track temperature will be between 75 - 85deg today. This will be the projected racing schedule and format for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All Class cars will be qualified first thing Friday morning. Results will be posted immediately afterward followed by the first round ladders. Cars will be qualified by running 1 run in each lane and taking the best time of the two. We are using a single elimination ladder (printyourbrackets.com). I will check pick ups, wheelie bars, clean tires, and oil only as needed. I will not oil armature unless absolutely necessary. Any special instruction will superceded these.Friday's schedule: Qualifying of all Class cars, Qualifying times and order posted, Round 1 ladders posted, Race Sponsor focus, and Inline Stock Rookie Eliminations. Saturday's schedule: Recap of Friday's events, Race Sponsor focus, Inline Stock Veteran Eliminations, 4 Gear Super Comp Eliminations. Sunday's schedule: 2 Rounds of Pro Street Outlaw and Four Gear Outlaw List racing madness!!
That's about it for the scheduling. Things could change depending on time. Today is going to be about getting cars set up properly for the track and qualified and overall getting things rolling. Thank you all for sending your cars. I really appreciate the effort from everyone especially the International racers in the UK and N.Z. Track records are up for grabs this weekend and should fall on this fast Max Trax surface. We have an exceptional field of cars! I've got some work to do now. The track is in great shape. Lanes are running even, so there is no advantage either way. Anyway..........enough talk........let's get this thing going. Good luck to all the racers this weekend!!! |

 Entry packages....and there is a bunch of them. I think this is the most individual racers for a single event that I've ever had. 19 total racers and 76 cars.

Wow some great times for the stock class Rookies. 3 times in the .5s all of which beat the best times at my track in the last rookie race. Congrats to Steve on his TQ. If time permits the chassis type would be interesting to see.

The 55 Chevy and 57 Ford are both powered by the new Jag DR-1 Chassis. Both bodies are resin castings. All magnets and armature are out of the box. I prepped a BSRT G3 for the race also but it was not faster than these 2 even though it was lighter and had better pickup contact.
Nice large group of cars for this event. Glad to see a great turnout. Good luck to all.

Awesome! I'm happy as they are definitely stock. Just got them, slapped a body on 'em, and sent them with no real break-in, or anything added. Ooops, I did add braids to the Chevelle.
