If possible, I'd like to reserve dates for a proxy race at the Good Time Speedway. The dates are February 22, 23, & 24 of 2019. It would be to commemorate President Washington's birthday plus the state of Washington. If accepted, I will post more details as they develop. It would follow all the guidelines of other NTRA proxy races and rules. It would be open to all!
Thanks for your consideration, Gale

I respectively with draw my request to host a proxy race. I hope everything is ok with you and yours Gale. If you reconsider or things work out and you are able to host, there will be a call out for host tracks in December for next years 2019 calendar. Although new events can sometimes pop up during the year, this gives everybody an idea of what's coming up and when. That will happen after Dave's race. You can reserve your dates at that time. It would be a great event at Good Times Speedway for sure! The progression of your track(s) is pretty amazing. Hope things are ok and you have an opportunity to run an event. Thanks.

Everything is good here, Jeff. Hope all is well with you and yours! As you know, I've only been here less than a year, so had no idea of the particulars on scheduling a proxy race to host. I began to feel something was amiss when there was no response to my request, thus the withdrawal of that request. I'll try to get more knowledgeable about things before I consider hosting an event. Yeah, the new track is great! Have learned some things during the journey and that's a good thing! About the only major stuff left is the controller station and some painting.

Gale, it is all good. your track is primo. hosting might seem intimidating but it is fun and goes pretty easy. I think the lack of response to your request is that 2019 schedule will be chosen after Dave's race. there is a sort of seniority system, so some races are just expected to occur about the same time every year. hopefully, racers who regularly host multiple events will chose only one until everyone interested has a date and then additional races can be added. and yes, personal (real) life can get in the way sometimes and cause schedules to change. so, keep an open mind and bid your date(s) as soon as possible.

Gale as far as I'm concerned those Feb. dates are yours if you want them. We can just make it official in December. You can request dates anytime. There are no rules on how to go about hosting. I do have the Winter Nationals that I run every year, but I normally do that in March or April. Doesn't matter anyway, there are plenty of months so we can work out any scheduling overlaps. I saw your post but have not been able to sit down and respond. So just because there was not an immediate response most certainly does not mean there was not interest. I would love to have you host and have my cars run at Good Times. Keep on planning your race.

I definitely wouldn't want it to cause any kind of schedule conflict either. We'll see what's available come December and go from there, fair enough? I plan to run some "practice proxy", mainly to get the timing software dialed in for such an event so am allowing a couple months for that, slow learner, lol. We are good, Jeff! I was just trying to do the right thing. I apologize for any stress or drama that this might have caused, was not my intent.

No problem with you scheduling an event Gale. We had discussed scheduling for next year and decided to make a call out for dates in December. It would be nice if you could hold your race as I would like to run on your track. We will all talk about scheduling next month. I had missed your post about a race or I would have commented.

Gale,
Don't let slow responses deter you. I'm certain you would have gotten a good turnout. Chances are, a lot of the guys are caught up in getting ready for the December race rapidly approaching, just like I am.
I made a mental note of it and was waiting for more details. Once you had the classes announced, the sign-ups would start pouring in.
