Getting back into the hobby I am finding HOs harder to work on this time around as opposed to 15 years ago. Today, having finger dexterity issues and wearing tri-focals definitely doesn't help. With that, as far as HOs go, I am just going to stick with a small road course to play on with my grandchildren. I will be racing though as I am jumping up to 1/24 drags as they are easier for me to work on, I can build cars basically from scratch, and I find them more realistically appealing. Another plus for me with the larger scale is there are a handful of tracks within a 2 hour drive. I stopped by an event in Indianapolis yesterday that had 485 cars competing! I had forgotten the "juice" that is in the air at a live event!! I will still hang around here if y'all will have me and I would really like to continue to supply participant decals. HOs were my first love in slot cars and will always have their place in my life. I wish you all well! A2B!!!!

I can totally relate to what's involved with working on HO cars when a persons physical capabilities aren't what they used to be. How did the shipping work out for you on that road course? I'm assuming it didn't because I wouldn't call that a "small" road course . Wish you the very best in pursuing your drag racing passion with the 1/24 scale. I think you are very fortunate to have that much activity that close, cherish that my friend! Hope you continue to stop by the forum and visit when you can!

Thanks Gale. Shipping isn't looking so good right now. Nobody is wanting to haul it because of it's size (4 x 16) and inability to be broken down. I told the seller I would get back with him after the first of the year and if he still had it, I would probably drive down sometime in February and haul it back myself. As for it being "small, I have raced on HO tracks as large as a 8x32 6 lane!
