Testing and tuning for the Washington Nats has been interesting. Finally getting some performance out of the 4G cars. 1 each of AFX, MT and AW fighting for the 2 spots in the hauler going to Washington.
In the inline class, one BSRT G3 stands out but it still has braids. Man is ever painful to pull the braids! Hope it doesn't slow down too much.

Of all the cars I have put braids on Bill the least improvement was shown on the BSRT cars. I am sending a BSRT and a DR chassis to the event and each seems to be quicker on different days, should be interesting.

When I put braids on my two 4G/SS cars, it helped one and the other one slowed down by about .030 seconds. Still trying to bring it around .......

Very unusual for a car to slow down when braid is added. Don't think I have ever had that happen.

Dave is right Gale....a car should pick up in performance fairly significantly with braids. But traction magnets usually need to be added or adjusted and/or wheelie bars added for the car to perform properly. Adding braids picks up the front of the car....the whole car really. My 4G SS needed both after adding braids. Not sure if you are experiencing that or not.

Sometimes that happens if I get too much solder on the leading edge. If the leading edge sticks out too much it tends to hang up on the rails.

My cars will hit the mail next week. I made a casting of a old truck I found. For the first time out casting, I think its pretty cool. 1960 Ford Econoline van truck? Truck van? LOL I'm not set to post pictures here yet, I'm working on that.
