The end of day two. I'm starting to see cross eyed now. About the same amount of work today as yesterday, but today was more about brain work. Keeping track of Call Outs....spot positions....pics pics pics...etc. There was some great racing today. The top cars seemed to be a little off pace from what they have been in the past. But that's how these little cars are. I've seen it before. Quite a bit of movement on both lists. More in Round 1 than Round 2. Dave632 keeps the #1 spot he's been so dominant with in PSO. JJWallace was able to fend off some stiff competition and take the #1 spot in 4GO. 4GO saw some near record passes, but the consistency just wasn't there with those cars. Tomorrow is all about Match racing. and we will crown the Best in Show by the end of the day. Thank you for all the good comments!!

Some great races there at the end of the list races. A couple of squeakers.
I know what you mean Jeff at the end of a few days running a race you start seeing double.

That last race in the 4go was close. I have one car moved up and one down but, I am happy that the Texas Drifter is improving. The Nomad will get a good talking to when it comes home. Congratulations to the winners and now we have the last day to look forward to. The match races will be very interesting I can't wait.

Here we are again.........day 3 of the 2019 NTRA Texas Nationals. All the major racing has been done. Now it's time to play with some Match race cars . And we do have some good ones to play with! I have done a slow motion video of each Class race Final and one of each #1 spot Call Out on the Lists. We will all get to see how the most important races went down. I will try to get started editing those today. So give me just a little bit to get my notes out and do some track prep and I will be back to get things rolling.

Sorry for the delay. I meant to be back well before now. We are moving along now though. Very interesting first 4 rounds of Match racing. Cool cars.
2019 NTRA Texas Nationals Match race cars. 8 races total....outstanding!!
Match 1 JJWallace "Twisted Texan" Pinto vs Sjracer Summit Camaro (4g Stock @ 18v)
Race 1 JJW wheelhops at the hit and Sjracer gets out on him to 60'. The Ford power starts coming on and the Pinto gets up on the tire and pulls the Camaro all the way to the finish. JJW wins Race 1 .8948et to .9961et.
Race 2 The Summit Camaro is getting faster, but unfortunately it's more of the same as the Pinto burns up the concrete and breaks the track record. JJW wins Match in two. .8616et to .9890et. *previous record .8850et*
** Records have to be backed up at Bear Creek Dragway by + or - 1% just like in 1/1 racing. I also only acknowledge records that are set during a formal event. No test runs count. So with that being said, the Match is over, but I gave the car a chance to back up that run and set the new record. It needed to run .8706et or better. It ran a .8699et. New track record .8616et 4 Gear Stock @ 18v.
Match 2 Pete Viper Charger vs GTS Vette (2.5 Inline Comp...ish @ 20v)
Race 1 These are some bad boys. I haven't run 2.5 here in awhile. The Vette is running braids and the Charger is not. GTS is very fast and takes the first race easily with the Vette. It looks like Pete's Charger is going to have a hard time this Match .4436et to .5727et.
Race 2 Crew did some tuning in between rounds and the Charger is hoping to pick it up. Pete picks up.03 but the Vette is running on mean today and lays down a .4324et to .5508et. GTS takes the Race and Match in two.
Match 3 Ecbill Super II Nomad vs Dave632 Vette (Pancake Comp @ 20v)
Race 1 The Nomad does not have any wheelie bars or enough downforce and deslots immediately. The car will not stay in the slot without adding something or feathering it off the line with a controller. The Vette makes a strong pass to win Race1 .6550et to deslot.
Race 2 I tried it again with a really dirty tire. This time the car did not move. It had lost a braid on the test run and is not making contact with the track now. We will not get to see the Nomad run today. Dave632 has a fast Pancake Bracket car and nearly runs an identical number. Vette in two .6520et to DNF.
Match 4 **Battle of the Wheelie cars** Gnome Torino wheelstander vs Dave632 VW wheelstander (Tjet exhibition at 20v)
Race 1 Crowd is on the edge of their seats for this one. The VW pulls the front wheels at the hit but bounces all the way down. Gnome's Torino is on the bumper stripe to stripe. VW wins the race 1.3258et to 1.3818et.
Race 2 More of the same but in the opposite lanes. The VW just can't keep the front end up, but the Torino has no problem laying that rear bumper on the concrete. Dave632 wins Race 2 and the Match. Gnome's Torino gets the best wheelie award hands down!! Very cool cars!

That Pinto is bada$$. Too bad you didn't run a third race, probably would've got in the .85's. I remember how it ran at my track Tough break Bill on the deslot (I hate deslots), congratulations Dave on consistent winning times. Vettes rule Love that Torino !!!

Some fun match races there. Herbie pulls about 3 or 4 wheelies going down the track then settles down, with those times it must have been side by side racing. Gnomes car really stands it on the bumper. Bill you can have a rematch at my race if you want. Congrats to the match race winners and all who moved up on the lists. Jeff the 4GS is from a different planet.

Gnomes car really stands it on the bumper. Bill you can have a rematch at my race if you want. Congrats to the match race winners and all who moved up on the lists. Jeff the 4GS is from a different planet. Its a shame the Nomad couldn't make the run. Based on the times it ran at home, the race may have been close. Had high hopes for this car since it had low downforce. Too much downforce seems to have bogged down my other entries. The Super II chassis was in a ratty old 71 Charger body that has a wheelie bar built in, during test & tune. In my rush to get the cars out, I forgot to install one in the Nomad. No telling what happened to the braids. Jeff, Don't forget that one of the reasons this car was sent was so that you could check out the Dash compression magnets, for possible legalization. If you want to try to get the Nomad running, go for it. Or if you'd rather, test the magnets in one of your cars before sending my cars home. That might give you a baseline to compare to. Looking forward to best of show! Bill
