Have any of you had any experience with Testors decal making kits?
The software that comes with it is pretty sorry. Only provides a few goofy images. Looking for ways to create my own images and print them on the decal paper.

Have not had any experience with Testors decal making kits. If you are looking for a free graphics program that you can manipulate imported objects or create your own and do things with lettering, you might consider Inkscape. There's a bit of a learning curve. I've never used it but did download it a few years back to check it out. It has a lot of bells & whistles which I'm pretty sure you won't use a lot of them but it is free and is pretty feature packed. Here's the link to download and to read about it's features. I use 'Flexisign' because of my signage background and use 'Aspire' for the CNC. Let me know if you think I can help you out. I don't know much but always glad to share what I do know .

I believe the software has an upgrade available that adds more designs and features. It's been awhile sorry I can't remember for sure. It is a usable tool with lots of features for more than just a beginner.

Use all the time. It is very good with vector sizing and printing from. For custom work I like Paint.net. It is also free. I still send it to Testor and print out.

I do a lot of stuff in Microsoft Word... Find an image you like, save it. Open up Word if you have it, find your image, copy and past your pic, then you can resize it there. Click on it and a box will pop up, then click on the corners or the top/bottom/sides to make/resize or stretch... Do a test print, if you like it, tape a small piece of decal over your image on your test print, then run the test print and decal paper back through your printer...RM

Since the Testors sheets are only half size, I guess you have to be careful to use only a half page. Your tip about taping a small piece of decal sheet over an image on a piece of paper is really clever. Thanks for the tips. Bill
