When hairycanary sent his cars to the WA Nats, he sent them in these plastic boxes with clasps that held the lid on. I thought they were really cool and looked as though they offered a lot of protection. They were about 4"x6"x2" approximately. I thought at the time, hmm, gonna have to keep my eye out for something similar. Well today I needed a couple 6x9 bubble wrap envelopes and my wife told me she'd seen some at the dollar store. Was going that way so stopped to get some, plus took a gander at other stuff. Lo and behold, I saw a 2 pack of some smaller plastic boxes with the clasp lids for a buck. Outer dimensions = 4.5"x3.18"x1.5625" tall (a small flat rate box is 1.625" tall inside ). Inner dimensions are about 3.5"x2.5"x1.375". Two average sized cars, wrapped, fit pretty good on their side. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but thought I should share .

I have seen the boxes he uses, I believe they are made by Plano and it surely keeps the cars safe. I have a bigger one which
which holds 14 cars but it is to big for shipping the cars to races.
