Hello, I've been messing around with ho scale slot cars since around 1970. I have just dug out my old pit box that has been stored since 1993.The last time I ran anything was on a hobby shop track in Colorado Springs Colorado.I plan on getting involved in Ho drags through this group.I am building a 4gear magnet and either an original TJ or TJ 500 magnet to ease into competing with you guys.I have to "bone up" on the classes & rules as some of the stuff you guys talk about wasn't around last time i was active.I live in upstate N.Y. and will gladly welcome any tips and advice to get me going.

Welcome to Nitroslots. There is no cure for the proxy drag race bug so ...be warned . We are glad to have you and look forward to seeing you entered in some of the events. It's a little short notice but the next event is upcoming on May 10 - 12.

Welcome to Nitro slots. The upcoming race has a rookie stock class. All you need is an Inline stocker to enter.

Welcome to Nitroslots. I am a rookie from the other side of the pond. These guys on here could not be more helpful to newcomers so don't be frightened to ask. I would suggest that you just build a stock inline and have a go, I have learned a great deal in the first year.

Welcome to NitroSlots, gibbo61! Yes, as mentioned, this is very addictive. I joined this fantastic group of racers just a little over a year ago and it has been an absolute joy. My advise is to just dive in and enter your cars. That's how you're going to find out what's what. I, personally, have no preconceived notions that I'm going to be a winner, I just like to finish some where in the middle of the pack, ET wise. A few times I've had the slowest ET but it just makes you try harder . A few times I've sent in an ill prepared car but the RaceMaster (the one who hosts the proxy race) has been kind enough to bail me out and try to fix what ever I might have goofed on. It's just a bunch of great people that like to build and race HO drag slot cars. I hope you see your way to enter in the up coming Spring Nationals! More info here click this link. See you there and wish you the best of luck .
