I'm not trying to be difficult with the body selection, but it is Pro Street Outlaws. If it was a week before the race then I would say run what you have, but there is still time to obtain a body or two if needed. The Mini Cooper is a stretch for Pro Street, but I would say let it run. I know on the TV show some of them damn near have Pro Mods, but that's not what we have been doing here. We need to keep it as close to Pro Street type cars as possible. 4GO is Pro Mod / Doorslammer. If it was a Class race then the decision would be up to Gale as to what body to allow. But the List races are ongoing. Gale if you do not have a body to use, I would be more than happy to send you one of my own just to have you involved in the PSO racing! Just say the word Sir . I hope my Jaguar body will be acceptable for the 4GO races.

The Jaguar is legal and I agree with Gale....she's a beauty. Your vote carries more weight than you might think Gale. Once again I'm not trying to be difficult, but I just don't want to see Batmobiles and Speed Racer cars running in the List races . Can you guys feel me here? Muscle car MT bodies and 4 gear Doorslammers should be pretty easy to come by.

Yeah, the PSO list racing was my concern. Gonna go with the Camaro body. I think that will be a safe bet . If I happen to get 2 AFX cars ready, I'll no doubt use the Cooper body for the class racing on the second car. Thanks guy's!!
Using a 3/32"d router/CNC bit. It's programmed to remove .02" depth at a pass. In my limited experience, I've found going too much, too soon, causes melting and distortion in the plastic. So I go fairly slow when cutting plastic. The bit goes in a circular pattern and over laps each pass by 2/3rds of the bit diameter. The router speed is pretty slow at around 12,000 rpm.
Thanks for the info a little bit better than my hammer an chisel.

And . . . . my friendly weekly reminder: only 4 weeks left for your race cars to arrive at the Good Time Speedway! I know July is a really busy time for all of us and will go by fast. I think you all are really gonna like the new power supplies, I know I do .
An informative PM will be sent to all entrants shortly.
Very curious to see how the ETs will compare to my track now since I use the second stage photo cell to start the cars. Previously I used pre stage/stage TrackMate system that used the back of the car to start the timer which was causing the ETs to be about .03 quicker. I don't think the 30 amp PS will make much difference with these cars but we will see.

The 30 amps makes a pretty substantial difference on the launch. I don't get to see all the numbers to compare, but I believe most of my cars have a better 60' to 330' on your track. I am really looking forward to putting some test passes in on my track to get ready for more passes at Good Times Speedway!! Playing with toy cars....gotta love it!

I know the unlimited cars made a huge jump when I went to 2 30 amp supplies, picking up 10 MPH and about .05 in ET. Like Jeff says the biggest difference is usually in the early stages, 60' and 330' but I don't think there will be much difference with the 6 ohm cars ET and most likely no difference in the MPH. The 2.5 cars however would show a difference with 30 amps all around and the unlimiteds would show a big difference. Looking forward to seeing what happens at Good Times. My PSO 57 Vette is about .01 slower than the 57 Nomad now but the green and white 55 Chevy is beating the Vette consistently by a few thousandths. That one should be a contender in the AFX class. Christine blew up the local gas station...... again. I guess you have to have a hobby???

I must say I have to laugh when they call those cars on Street Outlaws, "Street cars". Those idiots were complaining because some of them did not have ID numbers or a steel body shell. I had a glass shell on my Beretta and it was maybe 100 lbs. lighter than a stripped steel one, big deal. None of those Cars are anything remotely close to a street car. Yes I drove my Beretta on the street in front of my house in Fla. but I sure did not take it to the grocery store and it surely was not a "Street car".

A little off topic but it pertains to the prepping for the August race:
Was a final determination made about the legality of molded pancake motor magnets? Seems like OS3 & Black Dragon were names mentioned. Dash is also selling some.

Bill as far as the NTRA rules go, they are legal and the rules have been updated to reflect what OS3 magnets are allowed in each class. Dash magnets are allowed. I do not know if Gale has any objections with the use of them for his race. nitroslots.com/thread/4165/ntra-rules-revised-2016

I like all of the cars, but the cars they are racing now are not "street" cars. Most of them used to be street, but they have evolved into race cars. That's kind of where I'm coming from on our PSO bodies. Trying to keep it "street".

I was going to buy some of those OS3 magnets to test them but the seller was on vacation. I have a gauss meter which would tell us how much stronger or weaker they are. Some of the Dash Poly and Neo magnets were too strong for almost anything. The Neos were to strong for a 1 ohm armature but great for holding something on the fridge permanently.

Yes all OS3 magnets are legal for the "Hot August Nationals". Also any ceramic magnet that will fit the chassis.

Will be anxious to see the readings you get. The 2 pair I acquired (black dot) were a wee bit weaker than the dash magnets I had but each pair did seem to match up closely.
Here's the numbers I got.

Looks like the readings are pretty close to Dash ceramic magnets. Like you say they might be matched better. I have found quite a variety in Dash readings with the more recent ceramic ones I purchased giving lower readings than older ones I have. The Dash Neo magnets I have read in the 3-4000 range, pretty useless for our purposes.
