The MPH for the 55 was the best ever for a pancake with a mean green in it and that included the 57 Nomad when it was running PSO. Remember this was on 20 volts not 18. The T jet gasser times were good but no where near the AFX cars. I did not take a photo of those. The 4 gears were not so hot even at 20 volts they were slower than all the other cars running at 18 volts by quite a bit. I think the best I got out of one was a .720 with most times in the .75 range. Even the MPH was slower with the best a 4G could get was about 20 MPH at 20v.

Deduct about .05-.06 for the difference at 18 volts and the gassers were about another .05 slower than that.
Looking forward to the race to see what difference the power supplies make. Should not be to much if any with these cars.
With 2.5 and above the difference starts to show.

Wowzer's, the time has flown by, hasn't it? Starting tomorrow, we'll have 9 days to finish cars, mail them and have them arrive at the track . I still have 1 car to finish also so I feel your pain  , sorta'.
I'll have more details later but there will be a new special event during the four day event. "Time It n' Win It". The talented Jeff Wallace is going to donate one of his finished creations as a prize! It will be open to all that enter the "Hot August Nationals" except for Jeff & I. During one of the four days I'll run the car once in each lane, add those times together and divide by 2 to get an average ET. I will get a chart set up before then to record the ET that all the race entrants have guessed it will do. The entrant that guesses the closest ET will win the car. Fun stuff!!! And here's a few guidelines: - One guess per entrant and one time per entrant, i.e., once an ET is guessed, it can't be guessed by anyone else. - In case of a tie, the lower ET wins. For example; person A guesses .973, person B guesses.975 and the prize car does an average ET of .974, person A would win. - The guessing will begin on Saturday, July 27th and I will post a reminder of that on the Friday before, so please, no guessing 'till then  . - I'll post photos of top & bottom of the car when it arrives, which might not be until July 31st  Still plenty of time to guess & win  .

One Plymouth snuck in there. It is the one that bites. The green and white 55 suffered an accident before I got it. If anyone has one of those front ends for sale I would
be interested in buying it.
