the motor brush spring and rectangular comm brush allow for a shunt wire to be attached directly to the back of the comm(motor) brush. allowing a less resistant path for the current. also, as is done in larger scale, a small piece of insulation can be slipped over the end of the spring on the brush end to prevent heat build up in the spring. there are many advantages to this set up which I am sure that Bob, Cheryl and RC researched thoroughly. looking forward to the release

The c4 and L10 magnets are in. Been making good progress in sorting the car. The car is making tons of power with attention in the motor spring area. Scale Engineering has Arm Bushings in Bronze and plastic, front and back, direct replacement, a must have quality race part. Check that Company out for speed parts. 2020 is going to be a fast year.

I will have to get one and experiment with it.

Get extra parts, there is a learning curve. Anything I can help with, you got it.

Brushes, get the 20 degree Springs I would get stiffer and soft spring for brushes, The soft for pick up. Having some stiffer springs for the pick up not a bad idea. The retainer caps extra of those. You will shoot a few springs into the next dimension, drop a few other things, extras are helpful. I suggest work with the car to learn how it goes together. Use the soft springs to start. There are some pretty good tweaks I will share once you know about the car.

Why would they reinvent the wheel. After watching the videos on Wiz web site it seems like the new bulk head with all its tiny little parts is twice the trouble. To me it looks like there will be many small parts flying into the unknown. A lot harder to service then brush barrels. I'm guessing the bulk head redesign with the two different timing brushes is to have adjustable timing like the G and Viper cars.

the major change being the shape of the brushes ...... gives more surface contact between the commutator and the brushes. even more than the Big Foot upgrade that is available for brush barrels. 1/24 motors have been using this design for a long, long time and it is proven very effective. knowing Bob, Cheryl and RC, I am sure there are other improvements to the chassis design. also, placing a shunt wire between the brush spring and the brush is easier with this set up. smaller parts are a hassle and no one is forcing accepting or using this chassis. let us see how it performs after some experimentation and tweeking by Nitro Pro drag racers!

I like everything I see except maybe the cost. It's a little pricey for my budget right now, but I want one.
