Thinking of joining the 21st century by trading in my flip phone for a smart phone.
Several of you guys have posted some cool videos of HO slots launching in slo-mo. It would be a shame to invest in a phone that can't do that.
Considering an iPhone 6s which says it has 30 fps video. There are other iPhones, Samsung, magnavox and ZTE available. Would you guys share your wisdom and knowledge by recommending phones that do good slo-mo video.
The latest and greatest models are full of features that I would never use and probably beyond my budget.
Thanks, Bill

Bill I use a Samsung S8 Active that records in 60fps for my videos. My old S6 Active was nowhere near as good as the S8 and they've gotten way better since the S8 was released. I don't know if that compares to the iPhones or not, but if the camera is a big selling factor for you, I would recommend looking at maybe an iPhone 7 or 8. There may not be a big price difference. The last few phones I've gotten I purchased on Ebay and have been very happy with every one of them. FYI. They are just too expensive to buy brand new for me. For what it's worth.

Bill, I don't know much but will share the little I do know. Most of the stuff I video is with my (old) Droid smart phone, it's only 30 fps or so. If and when I get a new phone, it will be a Samsung S9 or S9+. Currently it has the best fps of any smart phone that I'm aware of, even better than the newer Samsung S10. Also I would suggest getting some video editing software. I find it easier to manipulate the video on a computer than a phone, YMMV. I use "Videopad Video Editor". You can download it and try it out for free to see if it meets your needs. I opted to buy a version as it has some bells & whistles that I found useful, pretty sure it was less than $50. I run all my video thru it before posting. Once in a while I'll record with one of those cheaper action cams, an Eken H9R. It has a pretty fair FPS but the wide angle lens is hard to work with at times. Verizon, the carrier I have, offers the Samsung S9 about $400 cheaper than their offering of the newer S10. I'm trying to hold out till they get even cheaper . Good luck on your choice!

I have an I phone 6 that seems to do OK with slo mo but I have nothing to compare it to. I have been getting some help from the guys here trying to figure out how to download a slo mo.
