Anybody know where to get SiliFoam tires any more? Wizzard used to carry them but they changed the web site and no longer carry much of anything.

Dave, I am at a loss. Bob Lincoln made his original reputation on his sili-foams and I have used them for a long time. I was very surprised to see none offered on the new site. I am going to call Cheryl and get the whole story. I will check my inventory and see what I have to share for now.

Thanks Al. I tried to order them a few times from Wizzard in the past months and they kept saying they were out of stock?? First the drag sizes then all sizes?? Now they have dropped them all together along with a lot of other things. I have built another Unlimited and I cannot keep tires on it. I also use them on some of the Super Comp cars as some of them hit over 30 mph. Quite a few other racers use them also.

Dave right now Wizzard is focused on production of the new line of cars and parts. Its two people. The time is divided into keeping that flow. Where one week would be devoted to just making tires, its now just one day. Give it time. I know that doesn't help when your out of parts.
I would ask Lucky Bob what he can get from Quicker. Quicker makes two kinds(I know of) of rock tires, soft and hard rocks. The soft are for poly magnet, hard for neo. There may be more compounds available but you can ask LB or maybe contact Rick direct at Quicker. This type of tires works well for these magnets. They hold up well. Better than sili foam in many cases on road racing. Can't see why they would not work just as well with a drag car. I have asked for Wizzard Drag sizes and they will make them, just not at this time. Soon is the answer I received.
The rock tire doesn't have the same crush, the final size will be smaller to keep same magnet height off off rail. The sili foam gives great bite with the crush , hard to say what works better, I not sure yet myself. For stock magnets and poly, the sili still would be my choice, would check rocks for neo.
It would be good to place an order asking for sili to Wizzard by email in the sizes we want. Cheryl will not forget that way.

What size do you need Dave? If your not in a hurry I can still make silly foam tires for drag racing. Just have to fit you in between fishing/camping and making carbon fiber chassis setups.....

Thanks Robert, something in the .470 to .500 range would work. I need a few sets, mostly for the unlimiteds but I use them on the Comp and Super Comp inlines also. Would need them before November, others might need some to. Pete I already sent some size requests over to Wizzard, they did respond saying they were out of stock at this time.

I'm going to start looking for alternatives. That's the problem with single suppliers of anything! You are at their mercy if they decide to quit or leave town. These Rock and Hard rock rated slip ons that Quicker and Viper have might be usable....I don't know. I will be checking them out.

Viper wheel order has been shipped. I had a couple of pair so I started Daves silly foam tire order. Here is a pic of what they look like before I take them to the lathe. In background are some of my carbon fiber chassis builds for customers and a RTR for ebay.

Thank you Robert. I am aware that you have posted pics in other areas, but I wanted others that may be new to see your work as well. I know your silli foams are of good quality and sweet! I still have and use several pair of your drag sillis you did for me years ago. They have held up well.
