Do you have any track records for these classes? That will give us a idea of the speed we need to be competitive.

Do you have any track records for these classes? That will give us a idea of the speed we need to be competitive. Nothing organized. Here is a link to the Hot August Nationals at Good Time Speedway where the Gasser T-jets ran at 18v. No mph's are posted but lot's of ET's. And, as for the Nostalgia Funny Car class; Jeff ran that class just this past September and my 2 cars performed similar at his track as they did at home, a wee bit better at Jeff's but similar. So you could get a rough idea form his coverage and it starts at this link. Hope that helps .

Announcement of addendum's to the rules:
* Door Slammer type bodies will be allowed in the Nostalgia Funny Car class. * Fenderless type bodies will be allowed in the Gasser class.
These changes were made in the hope of allowing a few more customizing options for the builders. All current chassis rules are still in effect. Hope these addition's causes no one, undo inconvenience. Thanks, GT Sharp Race Master @ Good Time Speedway

When you say fenderless.....do you mean Altered type bodies?

When you say fenderless.....do you mean Altered type bodies? Yes, that was the intention. Like 32 coupes, roadsters, Fiats, stuff like that. I had a request and plus I've been watching a few Outlaw Gasser videos on utube and they always seem to have gassers racing altereds a lot.
Sure hope it's not bending the rules too far outta whack.

I totally agree with your reasoning. I am all about seeing more custom bodies and we don't see enough of those particular types. You answered my question......coupes, altereds, roadsters, etc. Thank you.

I have no problem with bodies used and would never refuse a race entry because of body style, which is generally race master preference anyway. I usually suggest a body style however.

I definitely agree and would not turn anyone away either, but we do need to promote Street or Drag type bodies if possible. If someone is not going to race because they do not have a body that is close then they are just looking for a reason not to participate. Bodies are everywhere and not that expensive.

About 3 weeks left before you need to think about mailing your entries! Plenty of time to get 'em built and tuned . So get signed up if you haven't already !
Qualifications will begin first thing Thursday morning, the 24th. Due to my mail delivery getting changed to late in the afternoon, entries will need to arrive by Wednesday, January 23rd at the latest. Thank you all!!

Mine are ready to go. Waiting for Mike to send me his gasser for a final tune. As usual these pancakes will drive you crazy. Never know what they will do one day to the next. One day they run great, next day they fall on their face.

My cars are on the desk but I haven't done anything with them yet. Been running the same Gasser bodies for awhile. Thinking about changing one or both of them?? I really need to be trying to find some more performance in ALL of my cars. Still time.....

I put the stock chassis in my 4 gear outlaw car. It will have to serve double duty as I have very few of the old style 4 gear FC bodies, despite having 200 drag/muscle cars. I only have one of the new ones for that matter as they are not a favorite of mine.
