I hear ya, Trying to work an old AFX 'cuda FC body onto a 4gear for the race Here is the Cuda that I did. It has the body mounted front axle. Worked out really nice on the 4 gear. The Pinto was my first one that I did with the body mounted axle. Both of these cars will be headed to Washington.

I forgot about a body that I had and have adapted it to an older 4 gear chassis. Had to adapt a body post to it.

Love that Cuda FC body! The Pinto ain't bad either. Been trying to get ahold of one of those Cudas but had a difficult finding one with both windshield pillars intact. Finally settled on a Magnasteer version of it were Aurora hogged out the front fenders real bad. Figure that will be easier to remedy than busted pillars. Wish me luck!

Gale your track is Looking Awesome and Beyond !! Everything you’ve done is over the top. Your grandstands are unbelievably cool. I wish I had your skills.

Here are a couple of shots of the Magnasteer Cuda. In addition to hogging out th front fenders, they removed a few features that were nice. The fender flares and wheelie bars are both gone. There is no front spoiler or valance but not sure if the original had one or not. If the body is slammed like Jeff's, that may not be needed. The rear window is part of the body casting and painted, rather than tinted glass. Was the AFX version like that?

It does have a front spoiler and all the windows including the rear one were red tinted clear plastic. I used another blower injector hood on my version.

Today the crew have loaded the cars up and they are on the way to the Airport. I have also included some goodies for distribution to the entrants.

I didn't change anything aesthetically on the body except the injector hood.

A little more than two weeks away from the race and I'm starting to get anxious! Going through my cars Class by Class trying to find lost power. It is proving difficult but there's still time. Looking forward to seeing all the cars and race coverage!
