Sitting in my driveway is a recently purchased Dodge Challenger. Which for a guy who has driven Chevy's for the past 40 years is unusual. In my opinion it is the best looking car made in the last 40 years or so. Dodge Challenger

Challenger photo 2Hey, does that thing have a Hemi in it? (couldn't resist) Nice car Dave! But, it would look even better in my driveway. Been considering a Challenger as well. Its a shame the new Camaro (other than its drive train) isn't more appealing. Can't blame a guy for being lured over to the Mopar camp. Now you have to start saving up for the Hellephant motor.

I purposely bought the V-6 because even at my age I still like drag racing and have a hard time resisting a stop light drag race. My son said I am better off with it because I am still a little crazy and I have to admit he is right. Car runs great but it is a very heavy car, 4,100 lbs. Why are todays cars so heavy? I remember my stock 55 Chevys weighing about 3200 lbs. and they were larger cars.

There are a lot of reasons for the added weight: 5 mph bumpers, reinforced doors, air bags galore, computers, power accys, sound deadening, AC, cat converters, etc.
Maybe in a few years, you can go crazy, put it on a diet and install the Hellephant!
The modern V6 puts out more power than most of the V8s from back in the day.
One cool aspect is that they already make an HO body of the new Challenger.

Figures it would be government that causes the weight to be nuts. I have not seen the HO body for the Challenger, where did you find it? If I were ever to go crazy and put another motor in it I would use another BB 632. Fantastic power vs cost. 1000 hp for about 12,000 with no blower or turbo.

Ive had a green and black one that I've run at several events. I painted the grill black, but other than that it's stock. Good looking body.

As stated it is my "opinion". There are surely some super ugly cars out there today. Seems like todays manufacturers are striving to see who can make the ugliest. Top of the ugly list, in my opinion, is the Nissan Juke or Joke as I call it. Voted ugliest car 2 years straight by Top Gear. Wont post a picture of it as it is to scary.

Looks like a copy of the AW one I just bought. I also bought a die cast version which looks better than the AW.

I drive a lot. One design cue that Dodge has nailed it on would be the lighting. Front on the Challenger and # One rear Charger. The light bar across the rear of the Charger, there is none better.
