Something interesting that I picked up in a recent lot of goodies were some adapters that allow AFX bodies to be mounted on Tyco narrow chassis’. Wish we had these when I was fielding Tyco chassis’. It seems like it was always a struggle to find nice bodies to use. This opens up a whole world of possibilities.
They look like they were resin cast. Whoever developed them did a pretty good job.
Tried to post pics but forum said files were too big. Will try again later. Have to figure out how to resize.

   Shot some pics with old iPad. New one seems to make the files too big. It does take much better photos. Adapter is simple and effective. |

Very cool.
I have plenty of 440's that cold use those. I'd luv to toss the nascar bodys and snap on some good lookin afx street cars.

I'm testing a new universal AFX Tyco 440X2 Wide body clip system that will allow the body to fit on BOTH AFX MagnaTraction and Tyco Chassis. Shown here inside a new Porsche 917 body that's in the works.  |

How about TYCO narrow bodys to a Super G+ Might be doable. I have all the geometry worked out from making clips for my own chassis, So could check to see if it might be workable. Thought right now I'm more focused on wrapping some new bodies of my own first. Most of which are way too narrow to fit most commercial chassis. I'm mainly going chassis-less these days with a "Unibody" design system. |
