Well it looks like my cars are lost their in Tennessee some where, hope they make it sent them 2 day should have been there Tuesday. We will see Too weird! I tracked your USPS tracking # you posted a couple pages back. Never heard of such a thing happening with the USPS, too weird!  Some times this means the PO missorted it or the carrier left it in the building on the scheduled delivery day. So to stop the clock and not mess up time in transit percentages a Stuperviser scans the package "Delivered to Agent" so they look good. Have your tracking number available and try calling this number: United States Postal Service (Service Center) 124 Huxley Rd Knoxville, TN 3792224 Open ⋅ Closes 6PM · (865) 671-2307 If they do not deliver Dave's address have them give you the local PO that does deliver Dave's street address. Hope they find the package and you make the race. |

Man I just never trust USPS next day or two day delivery under normal conditions much less with COVID-19. Regular priority seems to be very consistent even under present conditions. Hopefully everybody's cars get there in time. This is going to be a great event......cars for days. Dave you are not going to want to see any cars for a little while after this one. A normal race has plenty to do. This one is all of that x 2.5. I wish I was there to help, but you certainly have my moral support! I am looking forward to it to say the least. I am doing some suspension work on my 1964 C10 this week to keep me busy.

Count at 108, hopefully Gnome and Eagles cars make it tomorrow. Had to put 5 in a row near the back so they would fit. I will still qualify them if they make it Friday.  108 here more to come
What a work of masterful art, "All These Dragsters" The backdrop is beautiful, truly represents the Blue and Ridge Mountains we live in. Just think Fellow Dragsters how many hours of enjoyment and torment are represented in building all this "Energy" Who could even attempt to guess the hours? Thanks for the number vince ,i was able to get through to someone and they said it was improperly scanned and that they would work on locating the package and call me back . I agree with JJ on the 2 day mail being problems, i didn't ask for two day and thought the cost was a bit higher than usual when i was posting the tracking number is when i noticed it was 2 day . All we can do is hope for the best . Good luck everyone this is going to be a great event whether my cars make it or not

At least they admitted it was a mistake. Should get a refund on your postage. 2 day shipping should not take 10 days. Hopefully they will locate the package in time.

Thanks Jeff. This race has gotten the biggest response by far for any of my races which is nice to see. Tells me that the site and HO drag racing is growing. Al has joined in and is holding a race, with just one more event holder we would have a pretty full schedule. Mike is graciously coming to help Saturday, which is the toughest day. He is driving 3 hours to get here so I owe him one.
I don't know what's going on with the PO, even first class would have been here by now.

The only money back guarantee service the PO has is Priority Mail Express. The 2-3 day priority is not guaranteed. The PO is having distribution problems due to Covid19. People are getting infected and are not allowed to work for 14 days. Not defending the PO by any means. This is just reality. |

This is a serious issue myself an neighbors have lost many valuable packages, and received other people's packages that we've carried back to the post office. I even found one dropeded in the road this year. This last month head parts ordered from Wizard $150 worth head valuable vintage Tyco brass pan Parts purchased, lost on the same day.I called and emailed two people in charge in the post office they did not care to help or try to correct the problem. I hope you're cars make it to the race, I truly feel for you. Dave asked me why I spend so much on postage $32 to ensure the trip I thought to myself if I lose my 4 cars that I have weeks and months worth of work into that it would be a terrible loss and at least I would be compensated for their mistakes. good luck to all and good fortune this special weekend when we all can get together and race or Drag cars from finistauri OK guys.....I just said this the other day and I'm going to say it once again. I have hosted a bunch of proxy races...15+. Lots of mailings for each of those and several of those were International. I have NEVER had a package lost in ALL the times I have sent and received packages. There have been a handful of times that packages got lost for awhile, but they ALWAYS made it home. As far as shipping for these races....it has been my experience during all of those mailings that next day and 2 day delivery is not a guarantee. I have waited on many racers that did that. Add one day to each of those and you will be good. I recommend mailing Priority the Friday before and they will make it by Wednesday every time. With COVID-19 we are all taking a chance on the potential for things to get held up somewhere. I'm sure everybody's cars will show up eventually. We can only hope they make it for the race. |
