I took a .432 tire, a .290 scale engineering rim. Gives me a .460 size. Best part is no glue used and the tire stay on, no trying to climb off the rim. So far Im thinking this is news and wanted to share a big gain in tire performance.

Great tip Pete. I have been stretching tires over different sized rims to get sizes that aren't available for drag racing. Tires are either regular sizes or HUGE for drag racing. No in between sizes. Jel Claws, Supertires, and HOtiresdirect all stretch over bigger rims easily. Thanks for sharing.

I took a .490 super tire and stretched it over the four gear wheels GTS cut down for us , the car isn't where I want it yet but it is running consistent. 3teens and have had no problems yet.

JJ They get a wrinkle. I hate struggling. I set up two axles before Christmas. Tires glued, tested, ready to rock. I bring the cars out in prep for Smoky Mountain and proceed to blow the tires off both axles. SE Tires I still will use glue in the final set. What I find most interesting is very little expansion at full RPM. All you hear is motor on test passes.

I'm assuming it is a firmer compound than regular?? Inlines are a weak area for me so I'm not as updated on the various rims, tires, and performance parts that might be commonly used. I am trying to take Dave's race as an opportunity to inventory my inline parts and learn more about tuning them. Presently working with the SG+ type platform. Thanks.

Silver Edition 200 Very soft. Made for low down force. T jet, gravity, ceramic cars. The stretch makes them firm up nicely.

Thanks for the tip Pete, I will have to try it. Never found anything that would stay on the Unlimiteds except Sili foams.
