The Nomad has Tinted windows, done with Testors Custom red transparent paint. Being an enamel it didn’t craze the plastic like lacquer often does. First time to try this. Results were pleasing. Testors has a few other colors. Hobby Lobby had blue, red and green on the shelf.
BTW, is great having Hobby Lobby open again.

Put a set of flame stencils to use. Here are the results. Great results Bill for the stencils and the choice of color and transparent paint for this one is right on! Are your stencils going to become available to us fellow customizers at some point or just in house customs? Good stuff here thanks for sharing! |

The intent is to share with the group. Hoping to sell to others. Hope to come up with more stuff. If anybody has ideas of suggestions, I’d love to hear them.
Just getting my feet wet with this. The hood flames I sent to your race were long which would fit well on a funny car. Had to shorten them up for the Nomad. So they can be modified for various applications. The side flames I sent turned out too close together. Still usable but separating them will make it easier.
Been trying to develop some Hemi Cuda billboards but having trouble getting the fine details on the lettering.

What material are you using for your stencils, Bill? Are they reusable?

What material are you using for your stencils, Bill? Are they reusable? They are vinyl. Re-use may be possible but not recommended. Both parts of it are usable though. You can mask off the flame, applying paint around it or paint the flame (like I did on the Nomad). |
