Glad to see the all the cars arriving safely. Some were sent first class so I could add more insurance so they might take a couple of days longer to arrive.

K I S S I like having classes that represent chassis builds. seems like a basic formula would be something like : Stock Modified Stock Unlimited in each chassis type so you would have a category of : Pancake t-Jet type including the various manufacturers over the years Pancake AFX type, also including various manufacturers versions including those with traction magnets Pancake 4-Gear/Specialty type including all manufacturers of said design. Inline also including many designs by multiple manufacturers over half a decade or longer. I like the classes and rules we currently have in place, just sharing my simplified (by my humble standards [LOL] ) opinion and ideas. this formula worked well for my live racing for several decades, but alas, it seems it wasn't sufficient enough to keep local racers interested. and, for the record, attending racers voted, on several occasions, to make revisions about allowances, dis allowances, additional classes and tech issues which were agreed on by a majority vote. not trying to change Nitro Slots, but this discussion (which might be redirected to it's own thread) intrigues me and I think there is much room for discussion and sharing opinions. Racing is exciting 😁 if we take the passion of tweaking our cars 🤔 our just racing them out of a store bought box, Then we're is the challenge of racing go our end up, My Black 1960s Thunderjet 40 Willys was a 4mph car, Ended up having a .629 ET And a top speed of 27mph. Granted it might be nice to have a stock race were the cars only move along at 3 to 5mph 🤔 I do remember those day 50plus year's ago🤔 I then could get to the finish line before they arive " fellows just running around " a little old fashion dry humor" Just think qualifying and racing might take weeks to complete 😁 And I could use my walker the next time I get to be a assistant at Dave's 😁 finistauri

yes, there are many thoughts as to how cars should be classed and built. no one is wrong. there is certainly room for everything given patience and clarity. my live group, when we were active, really liked 100% Stock T-Jet meaning everything! wheels and tires. JL/AW/Dash were allowed but limited to 16 OHM arms original strength stock t-jet ceramic magnets and t-jet width and diameter original tires. after market COPPER brushes were allowed because NOS originals are hard, if not impossible, to find. no wheelie bars, no traction magnets, no after market pick up shoes .... and they were fun races that you could see and often cars were back and forth during a pass making it difficult to know who would cross first. I know NOS and even refurbished Aurora T-jets are really expensive these days, but those who have them from previous can get them up to almost 10 MPH in a quarter mile. in a future event I might use this class with these guide lines tuned to the liking of the multitude here.

Stock T jets are the only cars I could walk to the end of the track and beat them there. I have had some as slow as 3 MPH and the fastest was about 8. This was without me using any speed tricks. Still racing is racing and if all is equal there should be a contest. The current Unlimteds on my track are hitting 50 - 60 MPH + in the .2 ET range which is faster than you can blink your eye and not something that is even watchable, all you see is a blur. You have to have electronics to be able to tell the winner and in some cases at the last race the edge was in the thousandths, very close.

Thanks for your generosity, by far the largest Bonanza of prizes for the racers at any of my events.
