It seems like Jeff made a recent comment that it would be nice to have one more active track on the Nitro Slots schedule. Despite searching back to late March, I haven’t been able to find the post.
It may be time to go ahead and take the plunge by hosting an event next season. Been working on the foundations for a permanent track and hope to get it done soon. Nothing fancy here, just AFX/AW plastic track, Slot Dragon timing and a 30v-30a power supply. For the first go around it would probably be best to stick with one or two basic classes.
Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring for possible consideration once we start planning next season’s schedule.
Thanks, Bill

Bill, yes, take it easy the first time. there is a lot to coordinate and finding a rhythm takes some time. I don't think any two race masters does it exactly the same, so your method is as good as any. and you, surely, will get all the advice you desire if you just ask. good to have another track to race at. thank you

Man I'm already excited! If there is anything I can do to help just say the word. Al makes some very good points. First event something just to get your feet wet and find that "rhythm" Al spoke of. I have a "Hosting Guide" pdf. that was given to me before my first event and it served as a really good template for an event. I'm glad I saved it because the link is no longer available. I will have to email it to you if you are interested.

I think a plastic track would be awesome to race on. My track is almost there. Will be looking to get a date. My first will be small also. My plan is ready to host in 2021. Its almost ready and still need to work on the media end of events.

Sounds good Bill, like everyone says start small, maybe one or 2 classes. Anything I can do to help let me know.
