I had a setup like that before I bought the gauss meter. Does give you some idea of the magnetic force and should help with tuning. When my unlimiteds finish running I have to slide them off the steel top strips as they will not pull straight off without breaking something even when using the rear wheels to pull them off.

I think I got a set of those magnets. Here I've been hanging on to them thinking they were tyco 440x2. Nope , I was going to try the traction magnets. When I did I found these look like tyco but they are just a little bigger. The motor and traction magnets are like tyco 440x2 on steroids. So now I don't know what they fit. Kinda thinking maybe slottech but that's only because I have nothing from them. I think I showed Al a picture of them a while ago, he said maybe neo if I remember correctly. Has been awhile. They look gold or bronze in color.

Now that Jeff has awoken the 4gear spirit in me, I was looking at how nice a couple tyco wide pan bodies fit on a 4g chassie. The 57 chevy is under construction. The roof was busted off so it got a chop. You gonna chop the Ford too!

Might be in the works Bill. When I do I think I'll cut the hood out and have the engine come out from under. Maybe change out the exhaust pipes to.

Pulled this one out of the paint booth. Its another 57 chevy that has been sitting around waiting to become something... with the help of ECBill's stencils I managed to pull off a decent looking flame job. For this one I used both sides of the stencil cut out to do some overlapping flames. I got a little cheap on the side flames but over all I think it all goes together.

Those magnets sure look like Tyco 440s. The 57 Chevy is one of my all time favorites.

There pretty awesome Gale, nice and sharp clean cuts very nice. If you use an airbrush you can use the outside cut to over lay flames easy. The one above was shake and shoot so I did a little more masking than I would using my airbrush. Think I'm going to get one of those quiet compressors so I can airbrush at night lol. 55-57 belair I don't see how a person could go wrong Dave. Im still lost on those magnets...figured I'd manipulate them into something to start an unlimited build. I got a picture next to a tyco magnet

Got some work on the track done. Since I'm using afx/autoworld track I soldered jumper wires to connect each track piece and put in 3 main power taps. After that took for ever , I tried leveling the track pieces and screwing them down. I only did this to the 15'7.5" of powered track since ill be changing up the shut down area some. I now know why you guys upgrade to a nice track. I had the idea this would be easy....nope... the plastic likes to flex and bow and who knows lol. Oh well its close and im going to try and sneak some epoxy between the tracks and glue it down some .... not even done and already know im buying a new track in the future lmaooooo. Also ordered up everything to give this timmer thing a go. I left enough room at the start so I could watch from behind the cars as they take off comfortably. That leaves me with 9'9" until I smash into the wall. I will be adding the metal plates and catch box to the shut down.
