When I took the chassis apart I found I had put a 6 ohm in it. I will change it.

Don't be so hasty... you can always wait until after our race. Such a perfectionist.

Wound an arm for the 4G. Ran a startling 8 MPH on the first pass. One of the brush springs fell out and went to HO parts unknown. Hit 23 MPH on the second pass. Then the tweaking started and ended up running OK in the speed dept. hitting 34.7 MPH. ET will be known at Jeff's race. Afraid to put to much traction to it as the gears will not survive.

That sounds a very successful build Dave. Good luck in the race. It is strange how parts disappear, I must have a massive stock of small parts on my hobby room floor. Whenever I drop a small part it seems to vanish, I am sure that the fairies in my home are building slot cars as well.

Yes I know what you mean, my Cat is building his own slot car from lost parts so he can knock it off the track when he feels like it.

Dave you mention something that is very important for those that are building one of these monsters with plastic gears and that is "traction". Too much traction will definitely shorten gear life. Controlled wheelspeed is the key. All the cars need to do is go rounds and make it through the race. 34mph is flying Dave! That could be the Class winner if it survives!

ATTENTION RACERSWe are still over two months out before the race but the enthusiasm and sharing of ideas over this Unlimited 4 gear is high! Gotta love that!! Still plenty of time to do the building and the testing and repair all the carnage . I am planning on taking videos of every Unlimited race just to try and catch any of the carnage or other excitement that might occur. I won't be posting every video but I will be throwing down on the coverage for this race! I am already getting pumped for this one guys!! I think the current count of potential Unlimited cars is around nine. This will become the third race Class if I have at least 6 cars confirmed. Keep on building!!

Started work on my Inline Pro Mods today. Have not been able to race them in awhile since I don't run them at my own race but they will be running at Jeff's race. Looking forward to that.

A classic matchup from the 70s. Probably the most famous movie race ever. Of course I accept as long as Jeff has the time. The 55 is going to the race to run in the Pro Mod class as it was. American Graffiti 55 Chevy
