Thanks to Mike, Finistauri, for making this black 55 Chevy for me which was made to look like the one in the American Graffiti movie. He did a great job. It will be raced at my race in November against a replica of the little yellow coupe that John Milner drove.  American Graffiti 55 Chevy

The original movie 55 had a 427 Chevy in it way back in the early 70s, it was an all black 150 model. Supposedly for the American Graffiti movie it had a single 4 barrel but
for it's 2nd movie 2 lane Blacktop it sported 2 4s on a tunnel ram. Reportedly able to run 10 second 1/4 miles which for the times was very quick.
Pro stockers back then were in the 10s with some of the quicker ones running high 9s. Of course they were actual production cars back then not
all out race cars. From what I read about the yellow coupe it was actually no match for the 55.
