Brothers, Jerry Emmons and Terry Emmons take stock and superstock at Indy this weekend. These guys have been doing this for awhile. 21 years ago last week, I took my Q/SA 91 cougar to Bowling Green. I was no 128 qualifier in a 128 car field. I had one of the Emmons first round and I turned the bulb red. Later that evening, I got a call from my son who took the Mustang to Norwalk,Oh to the IHRA northern nats. He had just runnered up in stock. Norwalk is a 12 hour tow to southern Illinois, so he said he didn't think he could make it to work Monday morning. I really miss those days, In spite of the long tows, blowouts, over heating, first round losses and rainouts. Nitroslots is where its at now, and I am so thankful for the friends I have made here. No long tows and no rainouts.

Congrats to them. I miss those days also but there are of course some disappointments when racing. I think I broke every drive train part at one time or another. Lesson learned however and the cars came back stronger each time. Nitro slots is my racing venue now.
