Time is getting short, would suggest getting cars into the mail by Friday at the latest as you never know how long it may take. My cars and Mazda's List cars will be headed out Wednesday or Thursday. |

I thought about a volcano... there's alot of paint scratching on that end of the track Finistauri. Them guys go all army messing up there paint jobs.
Dave can you believe my power is still out ha ha. My next move is stretching some jumper cables through my basement window down to the car battery so I don't have to carry it, to put a charge.

Jeff, I would like to tell you, but I do not recall.
I have never been much about MPH.
however, somewhere along the line I made a couple 100+ MPH runs which got me into the 100 MPH club at Slugger's although DrHoe never acknowledged it.
been over 100 MPH on Hank's O-gauge (which I made with continuous rail in 8 foot sections) track [ Hank has a Wizzard 1/4 mile AND a MaxTrack 1/4 mile now ] and also back in my 1/24 scale days.
very expensive to maintain those cars, but a real blast when those numbers come up.
in retrospect, I have to say that 0.182 ET didn't exceed 99 MPH, but I don't recall what the speed was.

Hey Skillet Would you really ad a Red 🌋 Valcano Lava Lamp to your backdrop 🤫 Those Red one 🤔 Long time ago, Not Drag Racing but man some Great times. I could send you a very nice Reto one from the 60's. And I have a nice roll of wire red and black that you can run from car battery to basement. Red and black so I don't destroy and more Drag monsters runing them backwards into the Wall 🤪 Wish I had a Time Michine I could go forward and see how the Smoky Mountain Fall Nationals Dragway is getting on. My Grandchildren know about the Time Michine/ Shrinking machine im buiding,very slow process my time is running out. Srinking so we can get into the Drag Monsters and Feel The Breeze. |

Will be watching for the cars Jeff and Pete. Al I think you once said you had hit 108. If your memory is like mine however it is fading with time. Skillet, what kind of monster are you building that killed your house power for days? You can take the battery out of the wife's car, she won't miss it.  |

Finistauri I am bald but when stubs grow I feel like a hippie , so to answer your question, absolutely I would stick a lava lamp at the end of the track. Might even make those army guys a little more happy.

I think the family has turned it into a storage unit,like American Pickers. I'll make a date 📅 to go to the shop. 🤔 Mmmm because it might be a great whole day, of looking for new junk in my own shop,that i forgot I bought while going on Garage junk sale adventures. So I will pack some lunch a Thermos of coffee,an look for you a "RED HOT" Lava Lamp Plug it in before walking home in the dark,using my 300 foot Extension cord so I can find my way home. 🤔 Mmmmm I'm glad we still have power in the shop. About the shop I've offered Wife and Daughter both $500. To sell 2/3rds of everything in the shop. Then I could build a Drag Monster 👹 Track. And actually test them like 🤔Mmmmm "Like my Drag Mates do" 🤔Mmmmmmm my thinker is kicking in. I might even be able to host a event And Have Dave Come Down to Give me a hand. You Know not having a track I'm not sure I would know how to put them on the track "Just a Joke" Usually Test them with the bulldozer Mega Battery. So host a event well thats a Dearm, Maybe a "Nightmare" 🤪 Hanging with Dave in May for the Smoky Mountain Sping Drag event, Is almost a Miracle to accomplish, Like I said a " Nightmare" I'm thinking I better stop thinking about "Hosting a Drag Meet" All that do we should be very Grateful for that they care to do this for us,so much respsiblity and weeks of time consuming work. Even the thought of Drag cars getting to the Event,last year Gnomes cars were lost and final showed up half way throw the frist day event. I can't Imagine the respoiblity. Were i live Drag monsters 👹 might get here 🤪 "No Thats Right " I don't even use my address do to lost packages, Thats why I use my Daughers address, She has one of those "old timer" P.O Professional Carrier. Ha ha thats hilarious. American pickers ain't seen nothing yet. You get a track set up for a race i think I'd have to come visit for the weekend. Not only for the race but to see whats left besides the track.

Mike what did you do to Skillets house power??
A big garage with room for a track? Sell some of that stuff off and build a track.
I miss my 1240 sq. ft. attached garage that I had in Fla. I could have fit a 1/4 mile track in that with
more than 10' shutdown. That's about the only thing I miss about Fla. The only problem there
would have been the heat, that garage was a hot box even with the 11' ceiling, would have had
to put an AC unit in there.

See my message on a stock class for my next race which would not allow any of those chassis but would be OK for SS. The Viper and BSRT motor magnets are of course whatever you install in them but the DRs are supposed to be poly. They check like ceramic however. This is that gray area where we have a chassis that has weak poly motor magnets but the rules for Stock, Super Stock, and Comp all specify ceramic grade. Not everyone has the means to properly or accurately check magnet strength....not to mention while they are still in the chassis. We have to draw the line somewhere and it starts with the Stock Inline class. The DR1 GT would not be allowed in anything but Super Comp according to the rules. It is unfortunate but that's how it is. Allowing the Stock DR1 in Super Stock on paper isn't allowed but BSRT, Viper, etc are using molded magnets anyway which is poly magnet dust glued together I believe. People always get their feelings hurt when we start talking about this kind of stuff because "it's not fair". But it is a gray area that falls on these types of chassis. There has always been an argument about SG+ being allowed in Stock and Super Stock because of the tweaked brushes and timing adjustment. But once again it's a gray area. It would be very difficult to ban the SG+ platform because they are so popular and inexpensive compared to other chassis. So to clarify as Dave said the DR1 would be allowed in Super Stock but the DR1 GT would only be allowed in Super Comp as per NTRA rules. |
