Comet the next guess is for the green 55 Chevy if you want to change your guess, that is OK.

Next car to take a guess at is a completely Stock AFX shifter chassis with an AFX 55 Chevy body. This one runs good for what it is. MPH was a good 20.91 which is strong for a stock production chassis. We have 11 contestants making guesses and it is still anybody's game. 55 Chevy
.677 for the speed shifter 55.

Wow, 20 mph! I'd like to see a picture of the bottom of that car after you run it. I'll go with 0.6373

since Dave offered to allow him his time I am sending it in for him if that is alright. thank you in advance for your kind consideration.

Skillet is first off the line with a guess. Hey Dave when are you going to give the answer to the green "55?

Racers are getting their guesses in early now, very good. Wait until you see how close one of them is. Jeff, one more day for guesses on this one. Bill your Bazooka man refuses to leave the forest at the end of the track. If we have a racing accident we know who to blame. GTS, I here is a shot of the bottom of the 55, even the tires are stock sponge and no braid on the pickups. A real freak runner as I have had many of these chassis and this is probably the fastest stock one I have seen, the pickups are not even making good contact, hard to figure what makes em work sometimes. Shifter chassis

That is strange as my cars for the next race are already with Andy to come over together. One of my entries has one of these chassis. I doubt if it will run as fast as this though.

those Speed Shifter chassis can be freaky fast. I had a guy at my live races using one of those, bone stock with the foam tires and beating everyone. he was up against Tyco 440's, Tomy G+'s, LifeLike/AMRAC/ROKAR's and Aurora G+'s, etc ......

Yes dead stock this is as fast as anything I have seen. I have never tried the actual shifting part where you reverse polarity and it shifts to the other gear.

A few years back I entered one of those Speed Shifters in an event at Dave's track, with a pearl orange 69 Z28 body. It took the stock class win, without traction magnets. Funny thing was, based on its times and the SS class winner's, it very well might have been able to claim the SS class as well.
Still have it in the race box but the current stock times have made it obsolete.
Come to think of it, that car was a Blazin' Brakes car. Pretty much the same as the Speed Shifter but with a different gear set. That chassis used to be in a Bandit Trans Am with working tail lights. What was really cool was that the brake light would come on when it hit the dynamic braking section of the track, just like a real car at, the end of the strip.
