Both of mine are AW Super III chassis'. The yellow/orangish Boss Mustang was TQ last index race but broke out in eliminations. Detuned it a little. Blue Mustang was consistently slower. Wondering where it found enough speed to break 1.0 in qualifying?
Index racing is the only use I've found so far for Super IIIs. They sound great on paper but are turkeys on the track.

My 2 Index cars are also stock AW 4 gear's with braids being the only altercation. Couldn't get my G+ from the last race to run reliably this time around.

Good idea on this thread Al 😃 Both of mine are basically stock AW 4G chassis. The Dutchman has skinny rear tires with after market shoes. I started out with braids but it was way to fast. Plus I added weight to slow it down. The Head Hunter is totally stock. It was also to fast had to de-tune it too. But I guess I de-tuned them to much for Daves track conditions. On my track they was both on the verge of breaking out. Neither have wheelies bars and I’m thinking Daves track has more traction than mine ? Both was spinning the tires the whole way on my track. It’s almost harder de-tuning them😁 everything I did to try and slow them they went faster🙄 at one point I had them running in the .850’s. I guess that’s telling me how messed up I am😁

LOL Rick. yeah, sometimes the harder we try the farther from our goal we get. all of my cars are just the way they were last time with the exception of the 1.0's and I put new tires on my unlimited because they came back with most of the silicone blistered off them from Dave's last race. if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I've had some luck on the super lll Bill. It requires some sanding on the chassie and getting the motor magnets to sit correct (then glued ). Sanding on the chassie is what kills them from racing them here. I feel like the super lll is a made chassie without the flashing and extra plastic removed. The part thats junk right out of the box is the pinion gear. Open box pull pinion and discard. 50% of the crown gears are scrap out of the box to.

Mine is a stock AW three gear, with braids added. The car was new out of the packet to run here in the UK on a 7ft track at 15v and based on those runs and compared to one of Woodcote's cars that had run on both the 7ft track at 15v in the UK and a 15ft track at 20v in the USA. I am really pleased that the three runs on Dave's track are at least in the ball park.

One of mine ie a stock Aurora G-Plus with braids, looked like the first run it struggled to get down the track and on the second run went too fast . The other is a t-jet with braids. Both are running Super tyres.
