Gale, I just noticed that the vette is under weight. NHRA, we weigh the driver with the car. Do you have putty or smething to add wt to the car. Thanks

Thanks Mike I did not even know there was such a thing, why then do folks use lexan bodies that weight less then a gram-? Yours looks like it weighs 21.1 grams, That pretty good your body about 4 grams or so. "I have to say nice job Mike" Thats a cool body 😎 In my only just a little over 1 year exsprence 🤔 Still asking our Skilled Senior Master Buildes and Drag Track Owners, If this can make a difference, Between a car that can move at speeds of 20mph to 70mph. There has to be a Great leaning curve for some of us in this area. 🤔 To light with no traction,🤔 To heavy some cars don't need Traction magnets, There are so many Variables it can get very confusing. The legal minimum wt for tjet is 23 grams.

Thanks Yes Mike, putty will be added, glad you noticed. Not everyone has a scale and that is why it is mentioned at the top of the "Body Rules" in the rules; link to the rules. There are quite a few cars that are under weight. The policy I use at my races is thus: putty is added to the top of the car for the race in order to meet legal requirements. I don't pull the body to add weight, I just put it on top. I remove the putty when taking the necessary photos. Hope that works for everyone, it works for me .
PS: I will try to remember to include a photo of your car with the weight during the race so everyone might have a reference to what and how much.

Gale Did all the Cars make it to Good Time Speedway ? Thanks for asking Mike. Supposed to take delivery of 3 packages today, one of which has 2 different racers cars in it. Supposed to get another tomorrow, hopefully 2. If all 5 packages arrive in a timely manner, that would be all the racers that have entered cars in the race. Their is one other racer who signed up but have not heard anything about entering/shipping their cars. Got my toes & fingers crossed  . I get late deliveries here so we won't know the status till after 4 or so. Send good vibes  |
