In prepping for the last race, I had 2 bodies that would not align with any of the 4 gear wheelbase options. With the rears centered in the fenders and the fronts in one hole they were too far forward. In the next hole the were too far rear.
Curious what sort of solutions you guys have come up with when the wheelbase of your chassis will not match up with a body.

maybe like Funny Cars do? center the rear wheel forward in its wheel well until you find a good line up for the fronts! which bodies are you having trouble with? I have also drilled new holes in the chassis

You got a picture Bill? If the body is unfinished you have some options. If the body is finished and I run into this I try to tuck the front wheel inside the body or just out enough to clear the body if the tire was barely hitting. Switching to orings helps do this.
I was also thinking of the new hole Al but I don't think we can drill new axle holes in our race chassie.

Build an extension that connects to chassis and extends front axle to position needed or do this.

Both are good ideas. Divorced axle may not work on the Mustang. Would likely interfere with pu shoes, on Tjet chassis. Chassis extension may work. Will have to ensure parts close to shoes are non-conductive

Are you set on using those chassis. Looks like a autoworld super lll would fit the truck.

Are you set on using those chassis. Looks like a autoworld super lll would fit the truck. Always try to keep my options open, so I may try a Super III. You may recall that my 4G SS entry had that same truck body in Gale’s recent race. That’s where I ran into the fitment issues. The unpainted 52 was just used to demo the situation, since the blue one is still racing around the postal system. In that instance and is often the case, since the chassis is set by the event rules. I try to find a body that fits the theme of the race and the specified chassis. Due to size, the Mustang will pretty much be limited to a Tjet style or Jag TR3 chassis. Options are wide open for the Cuda.
