Here is a body Mike, Finistauri, painted for me. He did some nice detail even detailing the driver. This was a favorite color of mine that was available back in 57 and cannot be found on any factory HO car. I put a 2.5 G3 under it so it runs good to.  57 Vette side

 57 Vette rearNice! My favorite color combo too. In fact there’s one in the shop primed for that same paint scheme. Thinking maybe a matching Nomad to go with it. By the way. My latest paint mask/stencil is for the AW/JL 57 Vette coves. All of the 57 Vettes in the recent posts in the paint & body forums were done using them. More to come. Yes Bill, that ones a keeper and my favorite year Corvette. As you know I sold a batch of cars off recently but this one will stay. That inset is certainly very hard to do so a decal like that would be very nice.

Wow Bill that is a beaut. Never had one but I sure should have. I did have the motor out of one complete
with the 2 4s and the little air cleaners, except it had the hotter cam in it for 270 HP. Ran pretty good for its day, put it in one of my 55 Chevy's. Those were the days, such good looking cars, unlike todays ugly little beasts.

A small painting tip for those of you who plan to paint some 57 Vettes: The hard tops are cast in clear plastic which does not do well when coated with solvent based paints. Haven’t had any problems with water based paints.

This car will run at the Winter Nationals with a different chassis running in the Pancake super comp class.
