Yes I Live in Bloomington Glad to know I'm not the only Nitroslot guy in this state. I live in Herrin, about 100 miles SE of St.Louis or about 15 miles from Carbondale. One of my close friends grew up in Danville and when he visits his family , he takes his slot car and drives to Bloomington to Mid America Raceway. Is that some place you frequent? In the late 80's and early 90's I occasionally raced rc onroad at slot and wing in Champaign. We have rc onroad and offroad in carbondale , but no slots of anykind. Just my ho dragstrip and I have a small 4 lane ho road course.

Sam, I can't find the Alleyratz Raceway Park on the "Tracks near you" section. It sure earned a good spotlight for the last race. The Monster Truck should be in it too! Thanks a million for sending our cars out so quickly!

That was my first race I held Ken...I think I still got to get initiated in. I'm trying to get on the track list :-). AL already signed me up to take over summer slam but I don't know if we vote on that or how that works. Looks like will find out together..
I wasn't sure if everyone would want to ride on the sectional track but after doing the race it did well I believe.
Only a couple broken guide pins Dave632 lost(then found) a tire and Carolina crusher has a loose body. Fin got the worst with sparks under his car then nothing. Bluesguy has some tinkering to do on his 3g Shark pool but other than all that everything worked out.
I will be totally honest. First time being racemaster and everyone signs up and cars start coming is really fun. Getting to see the cars in person is an honor. Then you start qualifying.... not so fun ha ha... Then a little later you think why am I doing this? Then when it gets to the end all the fun comes back and you don't want it to end. Then it's over and your thinking dang I got to pack all this up, yep fun gone again, but then you mail the cars and you instantly miss them its kinda sad. Then you think I can't wait to do it again lmaooooo. And the excitement is back and your pumped to do it again. What an emotional roller coaster.
I'd like to give the guys that held races and continue to run races a round of gratitude. They go through a lot of hard labor to do this for us not to mention the brain work. I now know first hand. I had a couple more things I was going to add in the event but the time goes so fast.I have no clue how you do all the different classes Dave. My next one I'm getting a chair with wheels.

Sam, yes, I cede the race slot to you. what ever you want to call the race and when it suits you. I will find another slot to host in.
you cannot say enough about the dedication all the race masters put into providing races for us. you have now witnessed, first hand, the agony and ecstacy of hosting a race. running the cars is a lot of fun. all the clerical work makes it a bit of a chore, but it is worth it in the end. you have earned the respect of every racer and racemaster on Nitro and beyond.
hope you can get the timing system back to how you like it soon and get your MaxTrax soon as well.
thank you

First one up has a funny story. Yesterday I mailed Clives cars off no problem. The lady was so nice and filled the paperwork out for me very pleasant... Today I mailed Ken's cars... I entered the post office with two duffel bags of boxes. Got up to the counter pretty quick. You know how your waiting in line and in your mind you think "I hope that person helps me out." Bingo got this guy Rich he's awesome always a laugh and fast when I get him. Got through everyone's and then there was Ken's. Oh that's going to Canada. Better just pay for these, take this book and this Canada package and will meet you at that table. A guy comes from the back. Is there a weapon in here? No. A knife? No. A hand gun?no. Ammo? No, don't that all fall under weapon? Started to want to say anything in this box could be a weapon heck the box is a weapon...Better not start my crap... I just found it funny I could send anything to Clive... Ken they brought out the mail police. :-) Ken has his own special receipt and the other receipt is as long as the Mississippi river.
