As you have noted there is a lot of work involved in putting on a race. Unpacking and packing all the cars is a chore as is shipping them. Taking and posting pictures and all the paperwork is another hard job. I have mine setup with a printer so that it automatically lines up all the qualifying times and does a print out of all the times in qualifying order. I will still cut my next race down to 3 classes as it can get to be to much. Good job on your first race. Running the cars and seeing the results is the fun and exciting part of being a Race Master

Haulers rolled in the shop today with the cars intact and loaded with goodies.
One of the prizes is a very well done vacuum formed GTO body. It’s made with a smooth, white, glossy plastic. Sure would like to find out more about it. Such as what type of plastic was used, etc. If the donor would prefer to remain anonymous, please PM me.
Thanks for a great race Sam!

Yes I Live in Bloomington Glad to know I'm not the only Nitroslot guy in this state. I live in Herrin, about 100 miles SE of St.Louis or about 15 miles from Carbondale. One of my close friends grew up in Danville and when he visits his family , he takes his slot car and drives to Bloomington to Mid America Raceway. Is that some place you frequent? In the late 80's and early 90's I occasionally raced rc onroad at slot and wing in Champaign. We have rc onroad and offroad in carbondale , but no slots of anykind. Just my ho dragstrip and I have a small 4 lane ho road course. I have been to Carbondle few time when I work for UHaul . When It comes slot cars this my first time in organized racing. In the late 60's a few of my friends and I got slot car tracks for Christmas we would go to each other house and race. When Auto World came out with drag strip I got one. Then from their I built a new track out of plastics track Laying side by side with trackmate time system. It was ok track butt had trouble with fast cars come off the track. started email routed track makers Viper got back to me right whey said they would build me one that's the track I use now.

Bill, I sent that with a bunch of vacuum bodies. I am pretty sure it is sheet styrene, probably 0.010. don't even remember where I got it. hope to see how you decide to use it.

Thanks for your reply Al. And thanks for sending the bodies. Never saw any white styrene vacuum formed bodies as nice as this. It’s smooth glossy surface should paint up real nice. Perfect candidate for an unlimited. Been wanting to put more Pontiacs in the race fleet.

Hey Sam, got my cars back today, thank you for the sponsor gifts. You put on a great show, was a lot of close racing. Can't wait to see your track as a regular stop on the NTRA schedule. Mike
