Bought 1 each of the OS3 Dragon magnets. No Bruce Lee magnets here but here are the Gauss ratings for the different types.
Red Dragon - 476 on the inside - 782 on the outside.
Blue Dragon - 538 on the inside - 914 on the outside.
White Dragon - 623 on the inside - 1240 on the outside.
Black Dragon - 701 on the inside - 1386 on the outside.
All these new style magnets have different readings on the inside and outside, must be a new process of manufacturing them, I don't know. Older magnets have similar reading on both sides. The 2 lower ratings would be good for 14-16 ohm chassis and the higher ones could be used for 6 ohm mean green style chassis. I have not put them in any chassis for testing yet.

Dave i've been finding that with inline magnets also. Was wondering if I measured some magnets and got a reading on my scale , if I could send you them and see how they read with your meter. Kind of give me an idea of comparison to your meter to my scale.i also have dash magnets if you want to test those to the os3. Let me know, Sam

Send them with your race entries and I will read them for you. I have stock Dash, (blue/white), they read in the 750-900 range on both sides. They are very good magnets for stock 6-14 ohm armatures in T jet & early AFX pancake chassis. Stock Magnatraction magnets read about the same.

Copy that. On the dash magnets I did like you did with the os3. I got a couple of every kind they offer off the dash site. Tjet and afx style if you will. If your interested in checking any of them out I can send them. I won't be in a big hurry to get my cars back so you could have time to play around after the race.

No problem. It is good know the readings of different magnets. I can tell you now that the Dash so called Poly magnets are way to strong for all but 1 ohm and below, reading in the 1800-2200 range and their Neos are to strong for anything reading in the 3500-4500 range. With the OS3s you should be able to tune your chassis for the best times by trying the different ratings to see where the best times are attained. I think these magnets are all ceramic but they do not specify. Most of the ratings are in the ceramic range.

I got some of the neo's. There crazy. Probably going to be the best refrigerator magnets I've ever had.

Yes never found anything they would work on, even a .5 ohm wind. Refrigerator magnets yes, probably pull the door in a little tighter when you put them on.

I was making some wizzard magnets to fit a different chassie. Took a reading before and after the grinder. After grinding... Then checked the back face They will fit the chassie either way now so I'm going to try flipping the faces and see the effects a little later

I don't remember magnets reading very different readings on both sides of the magnet. Must be some new production process.

A good method of cleaning magnets is to use compressed air. The dust will leave the magnet but now its in the area so clean up is advised. If you can do it outdoors your golden.
