I am curious as to the types of cars entered in the first pure stock event
I sent in 2 life like m cars. Has anyone entered a aw super 3. It is the only one still being manufactured as far as i know.

Super lll come with poly motor mags and neo traction I believe, so I don't think we could use them.
I also have been putting a couple of these together. While apart I ohmed out a few arms to see what they showed. The ones I tested were not new out of box so yes possibly arms got switched even though they all look the same in appearance.
The lowest one came in at 3.8 and the highest I found ohmed at 8. An 8 ha ha yep wasn't expecting that. I also checked the motor mags on my scale. They measured 12 grams of pull, all the magnets landed about the same. I compared them to tyco 440x2 motor mags. Tycos were coming in the 11 - 13 range. So there's not a big difference there.
Now the funny part. With the variety of different ohm arms they all ran very close to the same E.T. wich was over 1.
I've worked on these chassis alot. They can be great cars but require alot of sanding in certain spots on the chassie. Bottom, in-between where the arm sits so it don't rub, and on either side of the crown gear(the big square box).The pinion should be thrown in the garbage as soon as it comes out the box, 99 percent of them are egg shaped. I usually swap the pinion and crown for wizzard storm gears.

Mike, I sent in a Tyco 440. Had another 440 I was going to send but could not get it below .817, so just sent the one.

Tried pretty much every inline in my fleet that wasn’t on the outlaw list except a Super III.
Tried: Tyco 440 X2, 440, HP7, Tomy Turbo, Mega G, Mega G+, Super G+, Aurora G+, Super Magnatraction, Blazin Brakes, Speed Shifters, LifeLike M, T, Micro Scalextric. Several showed a lot of potential but in the end, a Tyco 440 X2 and a Mega G gave the most consistent good results.

I love all the Super Magnatraction variants, the problem I always found with them though trying to get them not to deslot. I always felt the Amrac and them were the fastest straight out of the pack back when a group of us raced using the Tyco X2 walwart. Never could get an AFX GPlus near them although they shared a very similar set up.

Except for the 6 ohm minimum armature rule if the car came stock with whatever it would be allowed, such as Hornby's with braid.
I am also curious as to which of the stockers will take the crown, I think I have a good idea as I have run hundreds of stockers
down my track but who knows. I will post what chassis is in each car when I qualify the pure stockers.
I think Life Like made Amrac.

I believe it went Amrac which became Rokar which became Lifelike. Cox maybe mixed in there somewhere because it is similar to a Cox . An Amrac is an offly close copy of an Afx Gplus. I don't really know how to post pics and don't have any type of account to do it. Perhaps Dave can post a pic of mine if he doesn't already have one of his own.

I sold any Amrac's I had, I will post a pix of yours when they get here. The best Super IIIs I had ran in the .7s with braid, I sold all but one, without braid they were at least a tenth slower, I doubt they will be contenders but who knows. Here is a life like M car:  LL M car
