My answer would be just get a mean green arm stick it in a car and mail it in. We're here to have fun.
As you go along things will fall into place. Enjoy the ride don't over fuel it.as you try different things you can go back and look at races and see how things are going.
It's more important to keep friends together and having fun with it all , than aiming for a pride thing. Rather it be wanting to be 1st or just not last holding you back. Its the same difference.
Also your new we know that. Don't wrestle with the rules. Everything you have shared with me looks good to go.

Hi Sam,
Thank you very kindly for the vote of confidence. You have been a great help. I'm already having fun.
As a newbie, I already expect to come in last. I should at least try and keep up with the back of the pack.
Concerning the rules. I simply don't want to make any mistakes. It's all falling into place. I'm paying attention.

You can either make complete chassis with them and sell them on e bay, sell them on e bay as a lot, or just save them for future projects. I have never had great luck with so called high quality balanced arms. Most of them do not run as well as even a decent mean green. The arm in my List 55 Chevy is about 6 years old with hundreds of runs on it. When you find a winner hang on to it but it's more about the right combination than just one part. Magnets cannot be to strong or to weak, tires not to big or to small and all spring pressures must be right. To prove this to yourself put a set of neo magnets in a stock pancake and watch it crawl down the track if it runs at all.

Dave, Thank you very kindly. I don't own any neo magnets. I'm only buying magnets for the slower classes of cars I'm racing at the moment. Experimenting means you first need to have a drawer full of parts to play with. I'm slowly getting there. Before I joined here, I made a 15-Ohm Buick Riviera for a drag race in the UK. It just got replaced based on what I've recently learned here. The Challenger is on it's way to the UK instead of the Buick. No clue how it will do, but I'm having fun learning and building cars.

Was planning on making a parking lot but we're going with the grid on this one. List race board is made with a special guest for the shark pool swimmers...

It's official. I'm in big trouble now. 10-mean green armatures just went into my shopping cart. Along with two 4-gear chassis, etc... Oops.
