****ATTENTION ATTENTION****
PM was sent to all entrants with Race Address and mailing instructions. Let me know if you did not receive it. Thanks.
Also........ Bear Creek Dragway will be running 2 new power supplies for the event that will offer 10 more amps per lane! I expect to see track records fall not only for that reason, but for other reasons as well.
New Tekpower 30vdc / 20amp switching power supplies.

Newbie question please? What am I looking at?
4gear is a bit like a Canadian trying to speaking Gaelic for the first time. Totally confusing.

Big Ken,
The top picture is a brush holder. The diaper pin is holding them in place to easily put on the top plate. Love that idea Fin. I been using a little hook wire to finagle them back in place.
the bottom picture is an end bell bulk head for a viper style inline chassie. You have to separate little arms in there to get the armature through. The diaper pin is doing that for easy service.

Yes Sir the 4g Unlimiteds are a handful and the idea is not to tear stuff up but instead to figure out what can take the power we are making. I love the challenge and we are seeing faster and faster ET's and durability each time we run them. With the introduction of the aluminum top plate is going to move us to the next level. I have not had a chance to work on mine yet, but I'm hoping that the 20t Wizzard crown can be used. I will be checking that out. Dave mentioned needing a brass crown and that is the weak link in the build.

****ATTENTION ATTENTION****
We are now 16 days from Raceday! A reminder for everyone to get there cars mailed so they will be here by Thursday 9/30.It is coming fast so don't be late. I have been tied up with life and haven't been doing a lot of race posting, but that will change over the next couple of weeks as we creep closer and closer to the race. This is when the excitement meter starts to go up for me. I have dedicated several days to complete focus on the race....so there will be no short cuts with race coverage. New power supplies are being installed tonight so I can be testing them along with everything else. I am picking up the trophies tomorrow and I've chosen something other than the Paw trophies. I'm anxious to see them. We have 50 cars that are signed up. The excitement is starting to build here at Bear Creek! The first racer hit the property today and travelled the farthest. Mazda's UK race team arrived and has their choice of pit spots. It has begun!!

Drag Mate's For those that might want to try the Diaper tool. The trick is to flatten both tips so they look like little screw drivers. For the End bell Armature it's great, I do put in the plastic large spacer in frist over the endbell Bearing, The comitatour goes right over the contact arms and brushes so easy. It also does aid in holding the endbell by holding it in a clamp or small vise so to solder Shunt wires on the contact arms. Fin
