What is it?
Spartan Synthetic Drag Oil (SSDO) is a new slot car oil for armatures and axle shafts and is orange in color. It is specifically formulated for slot cars. It is a low viscosity lubricant with a low surface friction coefficient and the highest lubricity of any synthetic slot car oil "on market" today.
SSDO is a fully synthetic halogenated poly esther oil product comprised of small chain stable molecules. It molecularly bonds to metal and remains resident for longer periods, so that it keeps lubricating where other lubricants have gummed up. dispersed or dissipated.
SSDO withstands temperatures in excess of 600 degrees.
One bottle of SSDO provides 1300 drops of outstanding lubrication. The precision applicator holds approximately ½ fl. oz. (17cc) Cap or Applicator is made of threaded aluminum. Hollow 1 1/4" needle is stainless steel and allows accurate application exactly where needed. Cap seals tight preventing leaks with a rubber O ring seal. Removable plastic scabbard protects the tip and prevents leaks. Bottle is constructed from high density polyethylene plastic, HDPE. The bottle is flourinated to enhance resistance to chemical breakdown and impermeability
Lubricity/slickness and wear reduction is statistically significant and with SSDO as compared to other slot car and model train oils.
SSDO will not harm or adversely affect phenolic, polycarbonate or nylon resins and plastics.
SSDO is H.O.D.R.A. approved.
