Bill that particular braid did not come from me, but I use a very similar braid. I will find that info. when I get home today and post it. What I use is actually for 1/32 scale cars.

For those that have been scratch building and racing 1/32 for a little while. This is the bees knees for most racers. Thin and flexible. Easy to solder. Available at most slot car suppliers such as Professor Motor ($5.99 for 39" inches). Part number SP-19 by Slot.It. It's called 1mm competition braid. Except for the mistake on the left side due to too much solder. This was fairly easy for a newbie because of the thin braid. Ken

I have found that the bigger braid can sometimes be a little stiff. I will work to flatten it with a pair of flat jaw pliers that I have. It helps it to become more pliable. FYI.....

I agree certain braid is to stiff for our use.
