Ive been lurking round here for awhile now and I figured I'd show off what I've been working on. Its a scale 1000' Maxtrax with a 7' shutdown, Trackmate timing with 60', 660', speed and finish. It has 2 30 volt 10 amp power supplies. I still have some work to do like the drivers station, retaining wall and some paint touch up. With the season being over for the 1/1 car I will be spending some time getting it all done.

Nice looking track!
I even like the bar stool at the end of the track so the marshal can sip on a wobbly-pop while removing cars from the finish line. Perfect.

Thanks everyone. I don't know what kind of competition I'd be for anyone especially with the pancake cars. I'm still learning how to make them really get down the track. I guess that's the fun part isn't it?

I guess that's the fun part isn't it? Your track looks great and you are way ahead of what I started with. Making these cars go fast is a learning experience but it's fun. We are all willing to help you get going and getting you involved. What kind of full size drag car are you running? I have had a few in my time.

With the timing system up and running I'm really learning what helps with et. I have a 88 camaro just a bracket car. I've been working on another car to run drag week with also. I've learned how to make the 1/1 cars fast.. you just throw money at them hahaha.

Oooooooh the ideas in my head...im an hour away. I'd be happy to have someone to race with. I really just need to set up the drivers station and it's ready to go. I was hoping to pick one up from maxtrax but they are booked out till spring so I guess I'll just build one until then.

Looks like you are only about 30 minutes from Norwalk. I have been there a few times when it was IHRA. It is about a 11 hour drive for us. They sold a pound of ice cream for a dollar. The nice thing about Nitroslot racing is the USPS does all the towing. We don't have to worry about the price of fuel or blowouts along the way.

The car you see in my avatar cost me about 1000 a month to run, including running costs, breakage, towing, entry fees etc. That was for one test and tune and one monthly heads up race. That was 17 years ago, prices would be higher now. To run drag races with these cars all you need is a power button. I use relays powered by low cost normally open buttons.

Yha maxtrax is booked. I think he's got 3 more tracks to build. Then the start of the next in line list begins. I'm not sure how long it is but I'm number 10 on it lol. We do dragracing but we like road course tracks to...whatcha got hiding in the background?
