I've been a Hot Wheels vendor for several years. I just went on a hunt for engine doners and came up with a few ideas. The "1/4 Mile Coupe" has the nicest valve covers and blower belt. But you need to add your own engine scoop. The purple one is metal and part of the body. The 57-Roadster has a nice blower and scoop all in one. It should fit nicely under most hoods. The 56-Ford panel truck has a really nice air cleaner mounted on a blower in both chrome, and gold chrome.

Here are a few more ideas. The Anglia has a hidden gem under the hood. It comes with square intake runners mounted on a blower. The 34-Ford has a nice blown engine with a grill and headlights. It was a good harvest. We have several engines and surf boards.

Does that mean you sell or distribute Hot Wheels?

Just occurred to me that the engine in my avatar’s 57 Vette was pulled from a Hot Wheels 55 Gasser. It has dual carbs and fender headers.

Hello Bill,
I bought a few dozen boxes of Hot Wheels years ago at $.50 each and stuck them under the stairs. I sell Hot Wheels at diecast flea markets these days.
I smiled when I bought them. I smile when I sell them. The new buyer smiles too. It's a win, win, win for everyone.

That’s cool! Since you bought them years ago, you probably don’t have any of the 55 Gassers. I’d like to get some of those.

Hi Bill, Once a Hot Wheels guy, always a Hot Wheels guy. I still glance at the new Hot Wheels for possible eye-candy. This is my only 55-Chevy gasser. It's a 2018 release and is still current. I bought it for the engine. Then could not take it out of the package. I am a Holley carb nut and could not destroy the car for the sake of the livery. This one stays in the package. But there are more 55-Chevy gassers out there. I will keep a lookout for you.

Some of these engines and surf boards may turn up as door prizes. I can't possibly use them all.

Looks like a great way to find engine parts.

Hot Wheels customizers really like the 55 Gasser. Check them out on eBay some time. They go like crazy in the stores. If you see any snatch them up.

A lot of those Gasser decals would be sharp looking HO slot car decals.
BTW, there are a few guys resin casting those 55 Gasser bodies. BrutusandtheMonkey and Slaters are two eBay vendors that come to mind. Slaters also sells independent of eBay, thinking it’s under Jim’s Custom HO Resins
