Tjet Gasser Round 2 Ladder
These ladders have the races numbered but I am not following them for this Round. Not sure why they are all mixed up like that but I am racing down the left side and then the right just like Round 1. I renumbered them for the Quarter Finals. FYI.

Tjet Gasser Round 2 Eliminations
Race 12 Swiftkart vs Skillet "Hood" Willys has a tall task going against the #1 Qualifier but he looks like he's up to it. They leave together and Skillet lays down his best pass of the race in a losing effort. The gray ghost 55 is slowing with every pass but is still making strong runs. .6231et to .7378et
Race 13 Pete vs Hairy Canary This was a good race. Both cars slowed slightly but the Vette was rollin' on the top end and sends the Henry J home. HC .6441et to Pete .6723et
Race 14 Finistauri vs Ecbill Wow! Ecbill's '55 gets a huge holeshot but the Willys eats on the big end and drives around the Chevy for the win. .6167et to .6570et
Race 15 Alpink vs Carla60 The USAF Willys is a beast and blisters the track with the best ET of the round so far and will be moving on. The Camaro was on it's number but is going to be done for the day. .6111et to .7631et

Tjet Gasser Round 2 Eliminations continued
Race 16 Swiftkart vs Ecbill The Falcon has run consistent all day but it's not enough for the #2 Qualifier. The Camaro lays down it's best ET of the event and takes the win. Swiftkart .5924et to Ecbill .7246et
Race 17 Pennywize619 vs Dave632 This was the best race of the day so far. The Camaro jumps out two cars and it stays there through the traps. The Impala was coming back but couldn't make it back up in time. Dave632 .6650et to Pennywize619 .6667
Race 18 Carla60 vs Gnome These cars are a tenth apart. That is an eternity in Tjet Gasser. Both cars make good passes and run their best ETs and are still a tenth apart  . Carla will be moving on .5995et to .6923et
Race 19 Finistauri vs Dave632 Both of these drivers wanted this one bad and upped their game. The black car is the winner........ok the black '67 Camaro. The black Willy is going on the trailer. .6403et to .6512et

It's getting hot in here! Looks like some good races coming up especially on the left side of the ladder. These cars sometimes have a mind of their own. #1 and #2 don't have it in the bag. Any one of the other cars could put them out. We all know anything can happen and these cars are running close enough together that one hiccup and the race is lost. I am going to clean the track...run these next 6 races...post everything...and then run the Finals.

Tjet Gasser Quarter Finals Eliminations
Quarter Finals Race 1 Swiftkart vs Hairy Canary Blown Hell Vette runs it's best ET but still falls short. Swiftkart's crew found that lost speed between rounds and with it moves to the Semis. .5852et to .6312et
Quarter Finals Race 2 Finistauri vs Carla60 Both cars slowed down but Finistauri was worse. He was slow to get to the 60' and that's all it took. Carla showed him the bumper and is into the Semis. .6293et to .6551et
Quarter Finals Race 3 Swiftkart vs Dave632 Dave's Camaro is steadily slowing and that isn't going to get it done against Swift's Camaro. He is keeping it consistently in the .5's and moves on. .5950et to .6964et
Quarter Finals Race 4 Carla60 vs Dave632 The green/yellow Willys might have something for the #2 Qualifier. Dave632 made his best pass in the black '67 but it wasn't enough. Carla will face Swiftkart in the Semis. .5986et to .6241et

Congrats to all the survivors to this point. This was the toughest field of
Gassers I have seen in all the years I have been racing here. My black 67 Camaro
had hit some .59s at my track but as we know the cars mood effects their performance.
The semifinal between Carla 60 and Swiftkart should be epic.

Tjet Gasser Semi Finals Eliminations
Semi Final Race 1 Swiftkart vs Carla60 Carla continues to slow unfortunately while Swiftkart is getting faster. The .5771et the '55 posted in Qualifying had not been backed up but the second Qualifying run of .5874 had. But with that pass the new track record stands at .5771et! That's fast! .5823et to .6377et
Semi Final 2 Swiftkart vs Carla60 on the other side of the ladder. The green/yellow Willys slows just enough to let the Camaro by........but it was close. No drama for this race.......Swiftkart will race himself in the Final. .5931et to .6052et

Congratulations to Carla60 and Swiftkart for getting both of their entries into the Semi Finals and Swiftkart for getting both of his through that gauntlet and into the Finals! Good job to the builders! Hard to keep up with those times......figuratively and literally. Good luck to the cars in the Finals. I'm picking the '55. It's my favorite of the two. |
