Hi Jeff please put me down for one 4gear funny car plus my outlaw cars. I am afraid that I have had a bad start to this year health wise so I have not been able to complete any new car builds. Hopefully after some more surgery I able will get the three cars that I am currently building completed.

That chassis meets stock rules? Looks more to be Comp 4-Go. Asking for a friend. Cant tell much about the build from the pictures or post. As long as the tire size is less than .560 everything else looks good to me from what I can see. Is there something specific that is of concern?

I think its a Jag. I see the traction is glued. Stock rules say no modifications, only in the comp rules the gluing of tractions are said to be allowed . The stock are without the mention of glue, the rules reads no mods. Im unsure now of what to do.

As far as I know it does. Has no braid or shunts, 14 ohm armature with stock magnets. Has 2 traction magnets which are allowed in the rules.

That is how it's written. The chassis modifications, although not specifically written, are referring to cutting and drilling to lighten the chassis. Nitroslots has always allowed the addition of traction magnets in Stock Class so that the older AFX chassis could be utilized without having a disadvantage. What I would not want to see is a traction magnet that is significantly stronger than what a stock traction magnet would be. That would be a Racemaster call.

Here is what I am referring to, this is my Twisted Texan Pinto that has run in Stock Class since 2013 - 2014 (My Cuda has the same setup). I have glued traction magnets in place. Dave's magnets are larger but that does not necessarily mean they are stronger. I have done a lot of testing in this Class over the years and I do not think that more downforce is an asset anyway. Not at 18v with a weight minimum. FYI.

Here is a photo of the chassis in the Beretta. It is an old style 4 gear that originally had no traction magnets. We have been running these in stock class for many years with added traction magnets as all the newer 4G chassis come with traction magnets. The ones I am using actually have less downforce than the stock ones, they are just easier to attach to the chassis than the round ones. 4 G chassis

There's no "WTF Guys" here?? I explained everything to you. I will change the rules to reflect what I am saying. It's that simple. I have run this Class more than any other Class in the 9 years that there has been a Bear Creek. The Kiwi Challenge is a Stock Class. My apologies that it is not spelled out every detail but that question has been asked and answered in the past with no problems. It was understood. If you are building a car that doesn't have magnets then add them. You still have 3 weeks. If your car has them then what does it matter? I will allow for the addition of traction magnets to an older chassis that does not have them based on what I have previously said for this race. Everything used to be spelled out in detail years ago and there was a calling for less detail in the rules. There were cries of "they are to complicated"...."too hard to understand". So the forum owner revamped everything. They were done that way to give leniency to the Racemaster to fine tune the rules for their event. I did not spell that out because, like I said, it's always been that way. I sometimes forget that not everybody has been around as long as I have. You are right, it should be spelled out and it will be after this race. I'm a details guy. I get it. But all that has to happen is to ask the question and get an answer. There's no reason to get all pissed off about it. Nobody is trying to cheat here.

Ha ha Eric you got seniority on me I figured you knew.
Maybe just put a side note to the rules. We have a few new members coming in. I didn't realize they may be having a hard time. I can understand them not feeling comfortable just shooting questions off when they first come in. I was a church mouse until I knew every one.
Just for any of the new members reading. When I first started I could NOT figure out how to add willie bars without mods or drilling holes. I finally asked how are you guys doing it? It was easy to ask yes we can drill holes for willie bars.
Also original top plate. You can still swap around top plates. They just can't be custom top plates. Example: I had autoworld white top plate. Yes I can use it on a black chassie.
On the traction magnets you can add them if the chassie don't have them but must be close to position of other brands(autoworld). Example: you can add 2 traction magnets. No they can't be glued to your shoes. No they don't go on your willie bar. they should be just in front of rear wheel.
Those threw me off when I started so hopefully help clear up any questions for new builders.
