Having been off Nitro for some time I imagine this has been discussed before to a point. My question on rail height is what do you do when setting up your cars to send off knowing very well that the proxy track you are sending your cars to has a different rail height then what you tested on?
Back when I was involved more it was apparent that cars set up on my track ran well but when to a different type track did not run so well.
Curious as to what some are doing on this!
Thanks

Thanks Hello Alan. As a Racemaster I look very closely at the pick up shoe set up. If I see that a car does not have good contact ( which I do see a lot of) I will make any necessary adjustments. If a racer is not comfortable with those adjustments potentially being made then the rail height could be measured and posted so that their cars can be set up for that. They may not be able to test with that rail height, but they would be able to set the car up before mailing. Pick ups being completely flat on the rail is such an important adjustment! That is why I look very closely at every car. That is about the best anybody can do without being on site. Such is proxy racing.

I usually indicate the rail height when I list the race. The Max Trax is generally .02-.03 higher than a stock AFX track.
