70 entries promised so far. For only 3 classes that's a pretty fair amount.

That's a great turnout even if there are a few scratches. Dave I've got to say that the Index Class is becoming one of my favorites! It's so challenging trying to tune to a specific number and be consistent!

Consistency is the toughest thing about the class.

I miss the days of 12.5:1 compression on Sunoco 260 pump gas available on every street corner. Cams with too much lift, duration, overlap, and lumpy idles. Dual exhaust on every muscle car. Moroso drag tires/rims on the front. N50/15 Pro-Trac tires on Centerlines on the rear. This was typical on the street. The good old days.

Yes, those were the good old days. Unfortunately, they are gone forever.

I just checked the price for legal stock or superstock fuel. Sunoco is 576 for 54 gal drum. Vp is 1115 for 54 gal c11 which is the most preferred for low compression stockers. Most pump gas will not pass NHRA tech.

When I was racing 118 was about $18 a gallon, 110 was around $10. I would generally mix 1/2 93 pump gas with 110 when running on motor. With N20 I would use the 118. The motor had a 14-1 compression ratio.
