I figured I'd show a few of my builds. I lack the skill of a lot of the builders/painters but I think I learn something new on everyone I paint. This is my first try at a weathered/patina look using the "salt method". I still have some work to do but it's getting close.

There's something about a wagon dropped to the ground that I just can't get enough of

Great work Pennywize!! I'm diggin' all the different body styles, paint schemes, and colors. How did you get the paint effect on the yellow Luv? I will change the 4GO Hearse to "Last Ride" that is perfect so is the name of your garage....lol.

Looks like Rick better slide over and make some room for Adam at the big Boys painting table lmaooooo.
Dang I think that pushes me off the table! Hand me that brush I'm going back to the kids table.
Love them all , but have no idea what the salt method is? I've seen some put dabs of Elmer's glue then paint then knock of the Elmer's glue speckles.
I've had luck painting the car gray/grey then primer then paint and clear. After it's cured go back and wet sand and pretty much just burn through the paint. If you want leafs by the windshield wipers apply some Elmer's glue with a tooth pick and sprinkle a cigarette butt over it. Looks pretty real. Dang I talk to much lol.

Thank you all. On the luv I used salt to create the effect. All you do is paint a base color and then put a little water from a cotton swab on the area you want the rust/patina and sprinkle a little salt on it. I found that you get better results if you put a little more water on the salt after its in place. I then painted over the truck in white and after that dried I used a tooth pick to remove some of the salt and then painted the yellow. After that dried I used the tooth pick to remove the rest of the salt and then wet sanded the areas going in small circles.

Pennywize very cool builds. Very nice work !! I’m really liking the 2 Hearst’s the one with the Silhouette of the bone orchard is really cool and the name Last Ride is super cool. Like the Purple on the Vette and the green on the 48 Tucker. I just got some Voodoo Violet and Candy Lime in the mail today. Again nice work and thanks for sharing.

Wow seeing your cars for the first time up close. You have a good eye for detail. The Luv truck is perfect.

I wanted to give that crusty look another try. I think I'll call this one done for now.

I'll go with done for now, but that is screaming for a decal all hacked up on the side.
